Hello everyone~
I've been lurking here for a while and, because everyone looks so nice (and I obviously adore Rufus Sewell), I decided to join and post here to say hello.
I'm more of a reader than a poster obviously, but I at least wanted to say hello to everyone.
(I'm a Roo-kie? That's so adorable!)
Well, I suppose that's if for now. It's nice to meet people who love this man so much!

Welcome Jessica, I think you'll like this place! What are your favourite Rufus roles? I'm very fond of Frank (Martha Meet Frank Daniel and Laurence), Petruchio (Taming of the Shrew) and my favourite scientist is Jacob Hood (Eleventh Hour). And that's just the start Have a good time here! Nice to meet you!

Welcome on board, Jessica! I'm glad you decided to join in the fun. Don't be shy if you feel like adding your comments! Do tell us what your favourite roles and movies are. What was your first encounter with the lovely man? For me, it was "The Pillars of the Earth" that made me look for more information on that gorgeous and talented actor. I watched "Tristan & Isolde", "Taming of the Shrew" and the 9/11 poem (a beautiful, heartbreaking reading that's on youtube in four parts) all in a row and haven't recovered from Rufusitis ever since. (Not that I'd want to.) Have fun on the Rooftop!

Welcome to the Rooftop, Jessica!
Have fun in finding out more about Rufus's work! But be warned: it looks like there is no cure against Rufusitis and in due course this may become a little bit expensive. ;D
What was your first encounter with Rufus?
Mine was Middlemarch, followed by The Taming of the Shrew, and then lots of other films.

Hi, Jessica! Welcome! It's always nice to meet a fellow Rufus admirer. You don't have to post every day to participate--just join in conversations whenever you feel like it. Have fun!

Welcome Jessica. Tell us about your favourites. What started you on the slippery slope of addiction to Rufus? I fell for Will in Middlmarch ** years ago . Several others came after but none moved Will from his pedestal. Then there was Petruchio there have been many others since but Petruchio still holds my heart in a vice- like grip, although Zen does come near. This is a wonderful site; great fun to read, even more fun to join in. Try it and see.

Hi, Jessica, and thanks for joining us! I'd love to know where you first saw Rufus, and which are your favourite Rufus roles. It sounds like you've already been exploring so you know there's lots to see, but if you have any queries, just ask. Welcome to the gang!

Jessica - welcome to the Rooftop, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here. But as Walt said, it can get rather expensive as you give in to the lure of ordering more and more Rufus DVDs.

So many nice people! Thanks guys~
Lots of questions about my first encounter!
Well, I saw Hamlet when I was little, and Fortinbras was my favorite character. Then, about a month ago, I saw him in Tristan + Isolde with my AP French class. All 18 girls in the class were rooting for Lord Marke (along with our female teacher)! That was when I finally decided to figure out who he was. I was so happy to see that he has so many projects coming up!
So, it went...Hamlet, Tristan + Isolde, Dirty Weekend, Middlemarch, In a Savage Land, Carrington, A Man of no Importance, Dark City, Gone to Seed (only a few clips, sadly), Victory, Taming of the Shrew, Pillars of the Earth and so on and so forth (the only works of his I've never watched have been Extreme Ops and Bless the Child, not including his theater works.)
"911: Out of the Blue" was so sad, I agree. His performance was so perfect that I'll never forget his voice. My favorite roles he's played have been Lord Marke, Petruchio, Tom Builder, Zen and John Murdoch~
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! (Needless to say, I'm still a little giddy! Haha!)
