Hey Fellow Rufians, Hail to Y'All.
I just feel like b*tching so here I am. Another freakish incident happened to me and I just HAVE to share.
Yes, my beloved lil apartement has been flooded from underneath, by SEWAGE. EWWW.
I lost nothing, except a place where to live. Had to just evacuate, hi speed. NEVER packed so fast. And it was quite painful too, I just loved the place, had been there 17 years, and I cannot even be sure if I will return some day, since the damages to the flooring and walls are quite awfully important.
Soooo… I had to find another place… and did… but it is available only in July. BUT, it is right across the street. PHEWWWW.
In the meantime, I will crash at MOM's, and shamelessly accept to be terribly spoiled for 3 months.
Things could be worse… I could have lost everything in a fire. I could have been uninsured – I am SO GLAD to have paid the insurance bills I had swore at year after year. I could have been forced to leave my wonderful neighbourhood, my friends, and my view on the river and trees, but no.
Always a good side to everything, I guess.
So, I will be almost totally without internet for the next 3 months – mom is no techno-freak, by any standard – but I do not forget you.

That is just aweful news Lise. As PGG says you are lucky to still be with us.

Ickkk, what a horrible experience! Good that you did pay that insurance bill, but still, the damage is done and I'm so sorry for you losing your beloved home.

Oh Lise that sounds dreadful. So glad you managed to rescue yourself and your stuff. It must have been a really scary time for you.
