Yeah! I just finished watching IFYD. Have to say I disagree with the Romagirl1, she said some of the performances were phoned in. I thought Gillian Anderson was excellent as was Haley Joel Osment. I didn't like the lighting choices for some of the scenes - but then again, I ended up watching on my computer so that might be the problem, some scenes looked kind of washed out. But overall - I would put this one at the top of my Rufus list.

I hope a Region 2 version will be released eventually. Otherwise I'll have to give it a try with this one, I guess. VLC Player ought to play it on my laptop at least.

I finally got to watch my DVD. I will say the lighting was not good on the DVD Rachel. You could tell the film quality was of lower budget. I did like the storyline. Small part for Rufus but he was his usual outstanding self. Lots of emotion. A small portion is back in time, but most of it is modern time....which I like. There is a twist I did not expect. I like how they ended it. Overall, I enjoyed the film.
The DVD had some special features. Trailers we have already seen here. Deleted scenes but none with our man.

I watched IFYD! Loved it! Rufus was excellent. He delivered a heart felt performance and made a less believable subject matter feel completely believable. I thought all the other performances were great too. I found Erol a little difficult to understand at first (the bus scene) but as he grew older his accent was easier to decipher A great story and well told. The pace was good, despite the Rufus free section. After hearing reports of not enough Rufus I was pleasantly surprised, I didn't time it but there was more than in The Sea and when he wasn't on screen they were usually talking about Gabriel so at least they got their priorities right . A couple of you mentioned the lighting. It was unusual I thought and had a dream like quality in places, deliberate reflected glare from the sun on the camera lens. Sometimes actors were in part shadow. I assume that was intentional and I didn't mind it at all. Mine is a region 1 dvd and I never find the picture quality quite as good on my decrepit old player, but this was fine. There were a couple of "I didn't see that coming" events, so it certainly wasn't predictable. Top marks! Edited to add - I just loved the scene KMK's avatar is taken from.....

I have just watched IFYD and think it is a very nice story. I had earlier heard from Richie Mehta that this DVD should have English subtiles. I did not see any information about this but when using my remote controler I figured out that there were English subtiles. I have asked Amazon.co.uk to put in this information at their web site. The DVD is seen in Sweden and we have region 2.
