Ooh! Yes! I can hardly wait to see this in the theater!!!
I finally saw one of the promos on TV tonight. I had taped an an antiques-related program called "American Pickers" on the History Network and there was an ad for ALVH during the program.

Lovely picture - GE2 also saw a trailer - one with the most amazingly hideous vampire face. Quite ready to indulge in this film asap. But will admit I just don't like the idea of taking vampire stories seriously - I'm not a fantasy person - well not about vampires - interesting comparison to recent Depp vampire - just an innocent kids thing in comparison with ALVK

voiceover, I've never been interested in vampire stories (although I do like the occasional bit of fantasy). So this is going to be my first vampire movie ever at the cinema ;D This pic looks fantastic!

ALVH is showing on my nearest cinema complex The Trafford Centre, Manchester, on Wednesday, 20th June. The synopsis provided is not good: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012) Director:Timur Bekmambetov Average user rating No reviews Synopsis Here’s an imaginitive if outlandish spin on the President Lincoln story… Adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith’s 2010 novel, Timur Bekmambetov’s supernatural thriller traces Lincoln’s fictional fixation with vampires while seemingly sticking largely to historical fact. Hence, everything that happened during his term in office was the result of vampires. Emancipation of slavery? It was vampires who owned the slaves. The Civil War? Started by vampires. Even his assassin, John Wilkes Booth, was… a vampire. The current trailer – in sepia tone with only the colour of blood highlighted – frankly looks ridiculous and features a fight scene so dodgily staged it’s laughable. We imagine the rest of the film will be too I am sure none of us agree with this synopsis. The trailers look realistic enough to me.

I think the trailers look good, but there is ONLY one reason I am going to see this. This type of movie is not my usual thing eighter. I can see why some reviewers may be skeptical. Rufus looks amazing as Adam...thats good enough for me. And we all know he is an amazing actor and will do an amazing job. One of those times I will sit back (or on the edge of my seat) and enjoy it for what it is...whatever that means. LOL.
So, who is going on 6-20-12? Opens here on 6-22-12 (thanks Rueful). I will be at the beach, may wish for once in my life on a "rain day".

Yes I will go see it next weekend! Just as I was enchanted by a silly larky movie that I saw last year based entirely to the utterly over the top outrageous nature of its trailers - I will see ALVK ! I still haven't decided if I will dress for the occasion... Like that silly 2011 film (The Three Musketeers ) it was the crazy plot that amused me with an additional surprise gift of lots of altogether edible eye candy for me to gorge on...I can only be grateful that Rufus was not in that film -a combination of Mads, Christoph, Ray S. and Rufus - well - the pheromones would have cause all the ladies in the audiences to spontaneously swoon!

It's not my usual type of film, but from the trailer it definitely did not look badly made. As Rufus said in one of the interviews, it's a totally ridiculous idea taken seriously. I think the reviewer at robela's cinema didn't quite get the satirical thought behind the whole thing!
