What a wonderful experience for you all. You pictures. videos and your accounts of the day are brilliant, I don't know how you knew what day of the week it was to be in such close contact with Rufus. He looked absolutely gorgeous and I thought how happy he looked. I live in hope that I will see him "for real" one day. Jamolivej.

I will send you a PM to explain how the neckless/coin idea came about. It was a while ago. Thanks for posting that interview Adina....I was wondering if that was the reason why he had to shoot off so fast after the SFX and Total Film interviews? I am at work (all alone) at present, but I keep wandering back to Saturday and lose myself in a daydream. A couple of funny things happened: After we had all met Rufus we spent some time wandering around the hall looking at the various stalls on offer. I was trotting along behind Lassie, when all of a sudden she stopped, turned round, looked at me and said (something like), 'Did that really happen, are we really here?' Well I think I replied 'Yes it did, and yes we are', but I'm not entirely sure as I was thinking the same thing as Lassie!! Later, we were outside the front of the building. There was a sweetie wagon out front, you know, one of those that sells all kind of stuff in big old screw top jars. Anyway, we got one of the guys from the stall to take a pic of the 4 of us in front of the building (you have probably already seen it on the board). After that we had to buy some sweets (not that we needed much persuasion). We were all looking to see what we fancied. I asked (just as a joke really - as it seemed appropriate at the time), 'Do you have any vampire teeth? We all had to laugh as the response was, 'Yeah, fizzy or plain'. Cool, I got the fizzy ones. I munched 2 or 3 of them on the way to the pub, then stuffed the rest in my back pocket. Later that night I emptied out all my pockets! I had forgotten about the sweets in the back pocket - I had been sitting on them most of the afternoon....they were no longer edible.... Another odd thing that happened on my way to the station that morning, and I mentioned it to Nell - I saw a sign that said 'Sewell & Gardner' (estate agent board). Perhaps an Omen?? And...would you believe it, I have just had a conversation with a customer at work who lives in a road named Carrington Place! God this post is long......sorry!

Nice pic PGG and thanks for the interview link Adina. That must be why he was being rushed away at the end and why the Q and A had been brought forward. A funny memory came back to me too. Being yanked out of the queue for cameras and phones and pulled by the arm to the front. I bet you all thought us Brits were good at queueing! It was a good call as it turned out - the Q and A was about to start without us I'm trying to remember exactly what the question was regarding genre and would Rufus be accepted in the ALVH type genre as it was so different from what he usually did (It was along those lines). The only bit of the answer I can remember was F*** 'em. I thought that was all that needed saying anyway. I notice that bit wasn't included in the video footage . It might be when the recording abruptly ended. I'm sure I didn't dream it.............. edited to add - LTM thinks it was "stuff'em!" he actually said so maybe the above was just what I was thinking It got a few laughs anyway! It was nice to hear the preview clips in the auditorium were so popular people were being turned away (not nice for them obviously). It 's great to see it was so popular for a relatively last minute addition to the programme

, I just watched your first video, LTM. Amazing! It's always such fun not only to listen to Rufus but also to watch him, constantly moving as usual. Adina, thanks also for your interview. Short but very sweet.
