Surprised to not see any threads on the Olympics (nor on the Jubiliee), but just wanted to say what a great show London put on for the past couple of weeks. I really enjoyed watching the little bits that I caught on tv. It seems all of your naysayers were proved wrong - well done!!

Looking back, we probably should have started an Olympics thread so we would not spoil any results. We discussed the Olympics on the ...I Just.....thread, same with the Jubilee. It was an amazing Olympic Games. I think thats all we watched for 2 weeks.

A separate thread would have been a great idea! I basically stayed away from the I just... thread, to keep from being spoiled. The games were lots of fun to watch. I really enjoyed the concert at the closing ceremonies too. We'll remember your idea for the next olympics, Kitty. Only 2 years away for the winter games!

I came here to avoid the Olympics. I'm not a sports watcher and there was absoloutely nothing on tv here except the Olympics. I've said it before but I'll say it again ;D The guy that claims there are too many detective series on TV and scraps Zen sets up 22 + tv channels not just to air the Olympics - but to damn well talk about it for hours upon hours. I watched a whole load on movies, which I hired or bought because obviously the vast sums I pay for TV is insufficient to watch what I actually want to watch! Ok rant over!

LOL, Nell! Is there any way Danny can make it up to you?

LOL, Nell! Is there any way Danny can make it up to you? Yep! He could make small inroads by commissioning another series of Zen with at least enough episodes for all the remaining books and a few more besides for stories that the team originally planned to write. That's not much to ask is it!?

Well said Nell. You've certainly voiced my opinions on both of your posts. Still have steam coming out of my ears on both counts. Thank you, thank you.

I haven't been watching much of the Olympics, but I loved the closing ceremony (I had unfortunately missed the opening). Eric Idle totally cracked me up, and I loved how Queen rocked the stadium.

I think its possible to enjoy the spirit of the Olympic Games without being a sports fan. I certainly enjoyed events I usually would not watch. I did have other options on my tv though.
I think we all agree on our dislike of Danny Cohens decision to cancel Zen and would love to have it back. There are several books I would love to see on tv. I like Nells plan. Maybe Danny should be cancelled!
