On ebay at the moment is an edition of High Life August 2007 in which there is, apparently an interview with Rufus about living in a mud hut and a nice picture to boot. Any of you UK girls seen this one??
OK just worked out that this is the BA in flight mag - anyone flying/flown with BA this month? Must check with DS who he is flying to Egypt with this week!!!

Yep, I read it on my way back from Faro last week. I would've nicked it but it was very, very lame-just a very short Q & A with the usual stuff, no wit to speak of so probably heavily edited or simply just plagiarised from some other banal piece of 'meedja' tat.
It's essentially a very shallow travel magazine with no insight whatsoever and the 'interview' reflected this. From memory, Rufus just said that he'd stayed in some flash hotels and some rough ones and mentioned getting briefly back to nature in a mud hut in 'In A Savage Land', then returning to a normal, shallow, consumer-driven existence about 10 minutes after arriving home. You really didn't miss much.
