PLEASE READ! Questionable links

Thanks to a vigilant member, we were recently able to remove a link (put up innocently) that led to a hard-core porn site.
That sort of thing could shut us down.
We would therefore be very grateful if everyone would:
1 - double-check every link they post. Please make sure it takes us to what we want to see, don't just copy the link over to here without checking it out first.
2 - if you do find a link that has already been posted here that takes you to a questionable site (not just porn, but to shopping sites, etc), please PM at least two moderators (in case one of them isn't around) rather than just mentioning it in that particular thread. We won't necessarily see a post mentioning it, but we do all check our PMs regularly and it's essential that we remove the link as quickly as possible.
3 - please DON'T use the "report to Mod" link at the bottom right-hand side of the post with the dodgy link in, unless the content of the post is clearly spam and/or is from somebody who has just joined or from a member who hasn't posted before. Using that link sort of gets the original poster in trouble, and automatically goes on a Proboards log, when the offending link might have been put there quite accidentally. (We have measures in place to filter out potential spammers or troublemakers, although inevitably there's a chance one will slip through - but generally there should be no need to use the "report to mod" button)
