As one who wears the same clothes over and over (and if they are not jeans/slacks I wont be wearing them!) I am not casting any aspersions here but I think that outfit may have been in his wardrobe for a long time

Quoll, is that Alice in that pic with Ruf? Except for the blonde hair, I wouldn't have recognized her. Maybe they just caught her in a weird facial expression that makes her look different.

That's Amy, Rufe's ex - this was taken at the Zorro premiere in LA in October 2005.

Oh, duh! Blonde moment over here. It looked like the same outfit that Ruf was wearking from this premiere at first glance, which I now see was the point of your post in the first place. LOL.

God, he looks lovely there. Those darn eyes!
I actually would really like his suit if the pants were a bit lower - they look kind of highwaisted on him.

Yep, they need a belt too to detract from that little bit of evidence of good living. Not that I'm working for the fat police, I actually prefer him with a bit of flesh. I just think it'd finish the outfit nicely and stop the 'band doubling' syndrome. But he does look nice and natural here, even if Amy does look as if she's got a broom handle up her a*se

I'm startin' to feel bad that I started all of this because I'm the one always saying it doesn't matter how he looks. The only thing that matters is he's such a brilliant actor.
That is something immutable.

I think we're only having a bit of good-natured banter, Maxx. None of us here is shallow enough to really give a flying f*ck how he looks, so long as he looks well and happy.

I think we're only having a bit of good-natured banter, Maxx. I agree with ruthy. But as to what quoll said above, it seems Rufus is very thrifty, from what has been written in interviews with him. He seems very sensible, very well-grounded.

I wasn't taking any of you to task, I was taking myself to task. Rufus has been quite a clotheshorse on and off over the years. He's had some impressively elegant and trendy taste at times. I'm just berating myself for thinking that he always has to look as if he stepped off the pages of a fashion magazine. You should see the way I dress to go to the cinema. I'm surprised a bolt of lightening didn't come from the sky and throttle me.

You mean that bolt of lightening I directed your way didn't make it? I gave it your address.... aww they just caught the lad off guard. At the GQ awards he was wearing the same suit but standing straight, sucking in, and buttoned up it looked much better. BTW Quoll that's not the same suit in his pic with the Ex A. Compare the front of the slacks, and the color is darker too. Now, you should remember from the Yahoo site that I don't miss much concerning the slacks!! Personally, as I've said before, it touches my heart to see the Ruf a little disheveled. Gives me an urge to straighten his clothing, or undress him maybe. Anyway, I loved the close ups. That fabulous, gorgeous face.......

Mea culpa, I malign the lad! I tend to pay more attention to the backsides:)

He has looked so handsome in perfectly fitted suits and dashing ensembles at times, we've just got spoilt. Everyone's entitled to a bad-fitting suit day. Like was said, he does look well and happy and that's what counts. What I'd like to know is how he keeps his skin so lovely. Mine used to look that good--about 20 years ago!! Is it the genes, healthy living (he has said he makes sure he's well rested) or some state of the art skincare only celebs can afford? Probably a combo of the above, huh? Whatever it is, his face looks just wonderful (his hair too!) I could go on about how kissable he is, but you've heard it all before I'm sure.

Im glad I'm not the only who goes on about how great his complexion looks! You don't see, or rather not see pores that small on many men his age. 'Of course", she says in a very prissy tone. "We know our Ruf is special!!"
