Do you think it would be unnerving for Rufus not to know what actress he'll be performing with until right before? Or will it be more of a 'keeping me on my toes' kind of thing?

I guess it's the kind of challenge he likes to take.

It would unnerve me, but I think Rufus will embrace the challenge of it. I think it will be more difficult for the ladies learning 2 parts. Wonder why they decided to do that?

[quote author=greeneyestoo board=news thread=2392 Olivier Award winner Kristin Scott Thomas and Tony Award nominee Lia Williams are set to join Rufus Sewell in the upcoming West End revival of Harold Pinter's OLD TIMES " Interesting that one of Rufus's leading ladies is Lia Williams who worked with him very early on in their careers >> Dirty Weekend He played a stalker and she murdered him. I am jealous Robela.
I am reading this and find it odd so far. I think I know what has happened. May have to pm PGG when I am done to see if I am thinking what she is thinking. Would still love to see RS doing this part on stage. And to confirm what someone has said, he does sing.

I am confused also Kygal! Thanks for the link to the review Nell. I am glad I read it because it will help me try to understand what seems to be a very complicated plot more easily. Can't wait to see three such great actors in this. It has got to be fantastic!

I dont want to give anything away. Its was just my thoughts on the characters when I read the play. I dont think PGG had the same thoughts I did. Robela gave my a new one. I think if you read any of the reviews or coments on the plot of the play you may know my question. Sorry to sound so secretive. I'll tell you if you want.

You're a woman of mystery, Kygal! ;D I haven't read the play yet--it's another thing on my list of Rufus reads. (Professor Rufus is keeping us very busy these days.) But the Pinter plays I read long ago in college were open to lots of interpretations. So Rufus will have a lot to sink his teeth into, and his performance should give hints about how he interprets the characters and meanings. Those of us stuck far away will need full reports from the lucky audience! ;D And to confirm what someone has said, he does sing. Looks like he's gotten over his hatred of musicals. ;D
