I did not know where to put this. If you want to move it GE2, it is OK by me.
I have a free Photobucket account in which I store all my Rufus photos. Recently photobucket changed their site . We were given a choice so when I did not get on with this, I changed my account back to the old one Photobucket is now flashing that we must change to new site as the old one is being closed down .
I do not seem to be able to move any of my pics from Photobucket. to my Office OneNote now, just the url or a thumbnail . I use them a lot when I am writing my FF.so it is very frustrating.
Also reading pro's comments on Photobucket, it would be a long drawn out process to move my pics to another site.
Can anybody advise me on this . I have several hundred pics as well as Private ones which I would hate to lose. I just seem to be wasting time trying to move my pics. Or is it just me?
Help please.

After the 18th March the old style Photobucket user interface will no longer be available. If you opt to switch over to the new version all of your current images stored in your free account will automatically be transferred.
You mentioned moving images elsewhere? Are you no longer intending to use the new style photobucket in the future at all?

Oh, I am sorry you declared war against Photobucket, Frannie. (I usually try to swim with the tide - it's not a happy feeling but, well, I try to survive ) I am not very good at computer things, so there may be some better way, but if you copy the page and not the picture, then you can copy the big picture into the OneNote (deleting the unnecessary stuff later.) (((I would be very sad if you moved your Rufus pictures - the Rooftop has already got many ugly blue boxes, the deleted or moved pictures turn our old threads into a ghostly sight. )))

Sorry to hear about our probs wth PB Frannie ... I have no prblems with the new one... and found all my pics in the new one again... So I can't help u with this prob...
I only wondering about the uploading.... when I upload a pic PB adds new extras signs .. eg.. When I upload a pic with OT2013 so PB adds 5-7 more signs to this...
So I was really surprised as I uploaded the screenshots of the ATTAM-Trailer, the pics wasn't shown at the first time... of course, the name was too long.... by the extra numbers...

Thank you ladies for your comments Oh, I am sorry you declared war against Photobucket, Frannie. (((I would be very sad if you moved your Rufus pictures - the Rooftop has already got many ugly blue boxes, the deleted or moved pictures turn our old threads into a ghostly sight. ))) . Adina.. I am not declaring war on Photobucket I would be more than happy to stay with them . I just am not coping with the new site . LTM .. No matter what I say I am not likely to move mainly because I am not competent enough to change. PGG.. I can upload to photobucket (new site). No problem! ! though i think it is slower than before. My main problem is that when I download a pic back to my pc I cannot open it . I am also finding the editing difficult and time wasting. I also have difficulty moving pics from one folder to another. Another moan . Photobucket is telling me to backup my pics to my pc . The reason I opened my account was to save space on my Pc I realise all this is probably due to me being a bit thick about I T

Frannie, I would just say this: 1 - try re-saving the pics by right-clicking on a pic in Photobucket (when it's full-size) and clicking on "save as" - that should take you to your Pictures folder on your computer. Just navigate to the particular sub-folder you want to place the pic in, then click save. Alternatively, if you have Windows 7 (operating system), you'll have the "Snip Tool" and can use that to outline the entire photo you want to copy back to your computer, and then effectively save it as a new photo. This might help: www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-use-the-windows-snipping-tool/2 - the point Adina made is a valid one, re the blank blue boxes where photos used to be - if you move pics from one folder to another on Photobucket, the links are broken, and if any of those are ones you've already posted here, they disappear. (and I hope you won't mind that I'm moving this to the Admin and Tech stuff board?

Yes I have Windows 7 and yes there is a snipping tool. Numb-brain that I am , I never thought of using that. I shall try your pointers out over the weekend, when there is only the family to take my frustration out on .LOL. Thanks again.
