Just signed up on Amazon to be told when ATTAM is available! Done, too - ALERT ME ! ;D Change of Title ?? I signed up with Amazon UK too a few weeks ago to be notified when ATTAM was to be released. Tonight I was browsing on Amazon and decided to check. I put ATTAM in and 'A Deadly Game' came up. Same cast . same synopsis . , Isn't it unusual to have a change of title after a film has been released in the cinema and before it is released on DVD? Especially as it has already been shown that Amazon is taking notifications?

"All Things to All Men" was definitely a better title...

That's very weird. Sometimes the title is changed for foreign release, but I would think the DVD in the UK would have the same title as in the theaters there. Seems kind of dumb, from a marketing standpoint. They'll confuse people who saw it and would like to buy it or recommend it to others.
Thanks for the info, Frannie....now we can keep our eye out for it under both titles. (Still not even listed at US Amazon, under either title.)

Thanks for the heads up Frannie.
How very odd. Although it was so poorly advertised in the UK when it was in cinemas I doubt that many people actually know about the movie. I actually think the new title "The Deadly Game" might appeal more to the dvd audience. Let's hope it does really well on dvd.
Even more strange is that when I searched Amazon for "The Deadly Game" it didn't come up. I still had to search "All Things To All Men" to find it.

"The Deadly Game" sounds rather bland to me. I'd have preferred to keep the initial title.

The title was good but the original poster was awful, they should have used Paul Shipper one.

That's all very peculiar - PGG had already posted a link to the DVD cover of ATTAM
on IMDB it's still listed under the old title and of course, all the reviews refer to ATTAM .
So what's that all about?

I would think the DVD in the UK would have the same title as in the theaters there. Seems kind of dumb, from a marketing standpoint. They'll confuse people who saw it and would like to buy it or recommend it to others. Unfortunately, it didn't really do very well here, so I wonder if the name-change is to hope people forget the reviews and view the DVD afresh?? It might also be that it has been edited/had additional scenes added.
I prefer the original title, although it didn't really convey the type of film it is - "The Deadly Game" does make it sound more of a thriller, I think, albeit rather a bland title.
