Could not agree more with everyone who says that ATTAM/TDG takes a few viewings to understand the plot entirely. Have to own up firstly to admiring Rufus in every scene that he is in and secondly to trying to identify every London location. I have no excuses regarding the dialogue as London is my 'language'. Have no intention of analysing the film but will just say that the five (or so) viewings I have had so far have been an absolute pleasure. !!! Enjoy.

Except I'm not from London and not had chance to watch five times yet but watch this space

Thanks Jamolivej. I am sure I will love all the Rufus scenes! Will enjoy seeing London on screen knowing some of you live there. I always like to read a book or see a movie where I have been and say I have been there, I have done that!

I didn't know quite where to put this as haven't seen ATTAM yet But a few weeks ago I ordered it, Hotel Noir and Restless . My luck... they arrived ( separately) just before I had to go away on a course!!
So much to catch up with when I got back so I haven't yet seen them And Two Rachel stories too A wealth of treasures.
Will review ATTAM as soon as I can
I'm hugging myself with excitement

I've now watched 'The Deadly Game' DVD. (Why the change of title?... Should we rename this thread to include both?) I'm not sure the plot is that much clearer now. Is it me? Jonathan Parker is much more of an unsavoury character than I realised when I first saw the film in the cinema. It must have been that lovely face deceiving me...

Got my copy yesterday and watched it. Not the best movie I have ever seen but I enjoyed the Rufus factor. I liked that it was modern. I liked that there was lots of Rufus. He looked great in that coat. Thought he did his usual great job of acting. Didn't really notice anyone else. I did think Parker showed "some" conflict about his partner and frustration at his situation (his fault) but not a likable character at all to me. Maybe that is the point. I think I may have liked him better if he was a good guy gone bad but it seemed he was never really trusted by most. I really do need to watch it again. It did help me follow the story just from reading some spoilers here. Like someone said, it reminded me of To Live and Die in LA. I am glad to add it to my Rufus library. Mr Parker was a bad dude!

This may be old news, but I couldn't find it posted anywhere--Netflix has the film available (under the title All Things to All Men) on streaming and dvd.

I spotted this in the video store last weekend. I guess I was all mesmerized, because I picked up the dvd case, instead of the dvd, and didn't realize until I'd waited in line and it was my turn, lol. I liked it, especially all of the London scenes. Made me feel like I was there a little bit.
