Hello ladies! After "only" 3 years, Channel 5 is broadcasting ZEN, and there are related review about Rufus Who Is Rufus and video interview ( there is 30 sec of commercial before) I don't know if it's been already posted here. Have a great summer (or winter)!

I read some reviews and - at least - they all agree on Rufus, good, sexy and beatiful. Some have noticed (and I tend to agree) that Rome (and Italy) is better portrayed than what is really is but I also remember that this is a TV show not reality. I have News for that.
Another comment was about the idea(s) of Italy most english have, unfortunately most of those views are right. No bills at the bar, little rispect for the highway code, corruption in public affairs and politicians and a general disregard for the Res publica. We have also a lot of good quality but we tend to forget them.
Last thing, the accents. On the DVD special, it was explained why the decided to go that way but I suppose it's too much to ask to make some research before writing a review. And in any case it's just common sense, italian actors speak english when they play in english production even if the character is italian. Or french. Let's say that it's easy to speak english with an accent than learn italian (or french) from scratch.

I agree. TV is TV and is never perfect. I understand your point about the accent though. I really did enjoy the show. I love the modern good-guy, who does not die, type of role.
