The film is listed as "In Development" at the website, so it could be a while before we see it. But I guess that's often the case with animated films.

Hi everyone. I've been working with a new rock band for the last year, in addition to the "real" job to pay the bills, so my schedule has been a bit weird. I've lurked occasionally to keep up with things, and always enjoy a good laugh with some of the comments and caps. When I saw that info I thought I'd throw my 2-cents in there. Or five I guess for the Canadians who no longer have pennies.

The script for Billy and the Goblin Revolution has made it through to the semi-final stage of the 2014 Cinequest Film Festival Screenwriting Competition.

A 3D animation adventure aimed at boys and girls of 6 and above, Billy and the Goblin Revolution is a triumphant and enchanting tale of good versus evil.

The Cinequest Screenwriting Competition continues to empower global connectivity between screenwriters, filmmakers, producers, and innovators. Now in its tenth year, the competition retains a stellar reputation that hinges in no small part on its knack for exhibiting a compelling mix of stories from around the globe and providing opportunities for writers to tap into a network recognized for accelerating the drive towards success.

A $5000 cash prize will be awarded to the winning feature-length script and finalists also get their scripts read by industry professionals. Past Participating readers have included: ICM Partners, Lions Gate Films, Happy Madison Productions, XYZ Films, First Light Films, Goldstein Company, Big Bad Wolf Production, Popular Films, and Occupant Films.

Winners will be revealed at ‘Writers Celebration’ during Cinequest Film Festival, March 4 – March 16, 2014.

Billy and the Goblin Revolution has been nominated in the Unproduced Scripts category at the Madrid International Film Festival (MIFF), July 12-19, 2014.

A 3D animation adventure aimed at boys and girls of 6 and above, Billy and the Goblin Revolution is a triumphant and enchanting tale of good versus evil.

Madrid IFF is an international film event attracting filmmakers from around the world providing a platform to showcase their work.

Thanks for the update GE2. This looks a very interesting project if it comes to fruition. Rufus and Amy must be very proud of Billy to have written this when he was so young. Let's hope it gets noticed.
