For anyone who wasn't lucky enough to see the play but want to get some idea of what it was like, or for those who want to kind of re-live it, a version of Old Times (sadly, without Rufus ) is on BBC Radio 3 tonight at 9.30pm. You can listen to it live here: www.bbc.co.uk/radio3Or if you can't catch it live, it will be here soon after broadcast, for seven days: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03nc68lEnjoy!

It's now up on the i-Player until 11:02pm GMT on Sunday, 12 January. I listened to a few minutes last night after "Sherlock", and ...well.....let's just say the actors didn't really give it much "oomph". Rufus's version was much better. Not that I'm biased in any way.....no, no....

Thanks for the info. Just wouldn't be the same without Rufus for me, though.

I listened to a few minutes last night after "Sherlock", and ...well.... .let's just say the actors didn't really give it much "oomph". Rufus's version was much better. Not that I'm biased in any way.....no, no.... I knew I couldn't get to see Rufus so I downloaded the script to my kindle. I read it three times ; my view changing somewhat each time. This afternoon I listened to BBC I-player recording. I agree with you GE2 the two women (Kate , Ruth Gemmell and Anna, Olivia Williams) weren't too bad but I thought that Deeley ( Justin Salinger,..supposedly a 40yr old) sounded like a whingey spoilt teenager . Some thing I would like other's opinions especially you who saw the stage version, is ____ I found reading the script,I got a different impression completely. 1) the first time I read it I thought Kate /Anna was a split personality. 2) I thought that perhaps Anna might be a ghost. 3) Listening to the recording, I thought that Kate might have murdered Anna and/or Deeley or is that going too far even for Pinter, Please someone drive me out of my misery and tell me what you think

Didn't see the stage version which may have changed my view. Reading it I thought split personality.

Listened to the recording today and imagined Rufus as Deeley. Perhaps it was because of that that I liked the play. Sadly I didn´t see it on the stage, didn´t even know about it! Do you know if there is any chance to see parts of the Rufus version somewhere?
