Lovely photo - looked like they were having fun. Thanks very much Adina for keeping us all up to date. I won't be able to listen to it live as at a bday party Wonder if anyone will notice I've been in the loo a very long time!!!

Hey, Lassie, this is a Wodehouse play - what can be more stylish than partying instead of doing your duty?! Forget that smiley! Enjoy the party, dance Charleston, and each time when you drink a glass of something, say "To Rory! Cheers!"

Fantastic picture, Adina! StrryjumpThanks for finding and posting it! If I may quote from the thread you created in the Listings section: If you listen to the first episode on the radio, arrive on time(!!!), because the play starts with a scene of Rory and Monica. (Okay, I know it is an adaptation, so it might be not true, but we mustn't miss any Rufus moments, must we? "The play opened with the entrance of Lord Towcester’s sister, Lady Monica Carmoyle, and her husband, Rory, enormously proud of his status as a shop walker at Harrod’s but given to saying exactly the wrong thing at the worst possible time." ) Have fun, everyone! Toodle pip! I just love this description: "given to saying exactly the wrong thing at the worst possible time" Doesn't it sound like the kind of character Rufus would have tremendous fun with? I can't wait! (I will be late to the party, because of the time difference, but I hope that everyone who gets to listen to it live joins in the fun here and shares their reactions.)

That absolutely sounds like a character made for Rufus. Or a character Rufus was made for

What a great pic - thanks for that and the info, Adina! Rufus often gives us treats on feast days, doesn't he?!

Well, that was fun! Not enough Rufus, of course, but he certainly made his mark. (And I loved the reference to "Lady Barbara" - wonder if that made him smile. ). (Repeated next Saturday evening.)
