As far as I could see, any Amazon preorders are usually delivered fast.
But previously there were some news that Amazon is at loggerheads with some publishing houses as well with a lot of authors with regard to discounts. It said that as a consequence Amazon would deliver the goods from those sources with delay only.
At the moment I'm waiting for an item that was released two days ago. According to the Amazon.de homepage the item is in stock. But still I did not get any notice that it is dispatched. So my guess is that the reason for this delay is the above mentioned quarrel. I wonder whether any Rooftoppers made similar experiences?

I have never had any problems with Amazon here that I am aware of. Thanks for the info. Will pay more attention to see if I notice any delays.

for this info, Rumantic! - My order had nothing to do with Hachette, it was a BBC audiobook. After I had waited for two days, I cancelled my order with Amazon and placed a new one by Amazon-marketplace. So I was sure they could notice that I replaced the original order. Furthermore, although I have to wait a little bit longer for the delivery, the price is even cheaper now. I must confess, since there were news about very bad working conditions for Amazon employees in Germany ( and probably not only there), I try to get my items from other sources. But for international books and films the possiblity to do so is limited.
