The real life story is rather sad. About a year after he resigned he had a stroke. He and Victoria did correspond but never met again. Even the correspondence didn't last that long. After a while Victoria was pressured to give it up since it was seen by some of her ministers (and Albert!) as "inappropriate."

I agree. Its good, but not my thing. I only watched it for one reason so I doubt I will be interested. Remember, you are dealing with the gal who didn't watch DA. I think I am the only person in the world that didn't.

I'm a bit late to the party but what a fantastic Masterpiece interview with Rufus! It's a joy to listen to his thoughts and ideas on his work. Thanks for posting and sharing.
