I'm thinking he's going to be busy with promotions or other projects to provide a live interview, so they've pre-recorded one to air the week the film is released here in the UK. But, there's no harm in hoping for something a little more spectacular than a film interview, is there?  In the meantime, we'll have to wait and see, because I can't find anything on why he was there. Just old stuff from way back when in 2013...  |

BBC Radio does a splendid programme that I have wanted hear Rufus on for years. It is called'Desert Island Discs' and lasts about 45 mins.
For non Brits, the guest is cast away on an imaginary desert island with their choice of eight discs. the guest discuss the discs and himself , his life, work and why he made his choice of music..At the end of the programme the guest is given the Bible, the complete works of Shakespeare and a book of his choice and one luxury .
With Rufus being so articulate ( having the gift of the gab) and funny, it would be a wonderful programme.

From 3pm? Just my luck; I'm supposed to be at work for 4pm until 10pm...hopefully it's made available online, so I can listen at a later time/date. But, at least we finally know why he was there.  |
