Thanks for the heads up, GE2!! It will be a fun way to spend the morning (here). It looks like it will be available for a month or so after broadcast. This show page says, it will be available "shortly after broadcast," and last week's episode is available for about 3 more weeks.

Hey there, Adina! What a lovely and funny way to announce your return! Thanks! I listened to the interview. Rufus was thoughtful and funny, as always. The interview also filled me in on some background details for MITHC that I didn't pick up watching the series. (Rufus was very sweet, saying "it was all there" but never making the interviewer sound dumb.) If you are reading this post while the show is still on the air (til 18:00 UK time), you can actually go to Listen Live and pull the slider back to the interview (which is not quite halfway through the show). www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_two

Hi Adina! Nice pictures!
Enjoyed listening to Rufus. Like Rueful, I was not aware of some of those details. Looking forward to season 2.

Adina!!! So good to see you back on the Rooftop!
Great news that the interview will remain available for a while. Of course, I forgot to listen "live".

What an excellent interview, loved hearing Rufus give us some background info on John Smith. I am looking forward to season 2, the hints Rufus dropped were intriguing. If you haven't listened yet, Rufus begins at the 1:23 mark. Thanks to GE2 for alerting us to this interview and to Rueful for posting the link.

Haha Adina - good to see you back! That was a nice little interview. Less than 15 minutes but interesting to hear the back story for John Smith that was put to the actors. I got some of it from the series but didn't fully understand how an American guy that would have been old enough to have fought in WW2 against the Nazi regime, came to be, not just part of it but a high ranking officer. Rufus filled in that gap. Thanks for the time pointers too Rueful and Rachel, I recorded the interview was able to fast forward to the starting point I just finished reading the book too. I mentioned before not warming to the characters much. My opinion didn't change. They didn't introduce any family members either, not even Trudy. Just the main characters and of course no John Smith. Quite a different ending to the series too, maybe due to a second series. I think I'd have had more difficulty following the book had I not seen the series. I found the series very well explained. As Rufus said in the interview, bits of information being dropped in here and there. Very much looking forward to series 2.
