Hi Everyone,
I have just joined the forum and thought it would be nice to introduce myself and tell about how long I have been a fan of Rufus Sewell and what my favorites are that Rufus has been in.
My name is Caroline Farrington Watson,my screen name on the forum is Carolina and I live in Wigan which is in Lancashire in the UK. I have been a fan of Rufus since 2004 when I settled in one Sunday evening to watch Charles II the power and the passion. What a treat I had when in the opening scenes I saw this gorgeous looking fella who could actually act. I wondered who he was as I had never seen him before, and had actually switched on because I love history and I knew Rupert Graves was in it. Rupert is another favourite of mine since I saw him in The Madness of King George. After the show had finished that evening I got onto the computer and looked up Rufus Sewell and the rest is history. I have been a fan of him ever since and watched him in many of the different roles he has played in over the years, although charles II has always been my favorite. Rufus but a lot of effort into playing Charles II and anyone here who is a Rufus fan and has not seen it must do so its one of the best roles he has ever played and very accurate. It has a whole host of other stars in it and follows Charles II from his days in exile in the 1650s to his return to England and the crown in 1660 throughout his life and his many women and marriage to his wife Catherine of Braganza in 1662, his rule and constant arguments with parliament to his death in 1685.
Whenever I am feeling down as I suffer from depression and anxiety I always watch Rufus in Charles II and it cheers me up. I also like him in the taming of the shrew it is so funny and cheers me up no end.
There is one thing I have noticed about Rufus he is not on social media anywhere and he doesn't seem to tweet. Does anyone know why this is as I think he needs to engage a bit more with his fans if you know what I mean.
Can I ask out to admin or if anyone else knows does he ever come on here for a chat with his fans. I would love to chat with him it would be great. If I had a wish to make and it was who did I want to chat to it would be Rufus. I have never met him but would love to although I would probably end up lost for words I would be so overcome. Is there anyone here who has met him because I would love to hear about your experiences of him. What is the man himself like up close and personal. I expect he is very nice funny and kind.
I am about done now but am open to discuss Rufus anytime with my fellow fans
Love and Hugs Caroline xxxx
