They are all fantastic, but my favourite is the first. (And Juliana's dress in the third! )

I'm gonna have to break from the majority and go with #3. Whilst the other two are good photos, I just like how #3 is generally put together. Even with all those others in the frame, and Alexa (the only woman in the photo) in the centre, my eye is still drawn immediately to Rufus...sorry, Obergruppenfuhrer Smith. And, I love how none of them are looking at any of the others around them; they're all looking aside or down. No clear motives or connections. They're somehow brought together, but we can't tell how or what for in the photo. It adds to the mystery.

Yay, I am happy you liked my idea and took part in the game. I'm gonna have to break from the majority and go with #3. I had chosen the second picture before the voting got started. So, hi, Other Wing! Definitely first, for composition and subject! Oh, your "for composition and subject" line made think. I am such a biased girl, I must give a prize with that title to this photo : so much adina for finding and posting these pics here... I found all three photographs in the galleries of the photographers. I added their links to my post, so it was not peeping or stealing to bring them here. Spreading them without information is a rather careless next step.

Definitely first, for composition and subject! Oh, your "for composition and subject" line made think. I am such a biased girl, I must give a prize with that title to this photo : Ha! I salute your use of a time-honored governmental tactic, naming as a winner something that was not on the ballot! Now that the poll is winding down, since you didn't ask, I mentioned both subject and composition because, for second place, I liked #2 better for composition and #3 better for subject. Thanks again for the fun, Adina!

Hahaha Adina and Rueful! You remind me of the Party Political broadcasts we're enduring in the UK right now I'm chiming in late and like all for their artistic merits (subject and composition darling! ) but I feel he looks sad in #1 and #3 so the cheeky look in #2 wins it for me Maybe I'm looking from a different angle . But should we be voting for capit potential this one would surely be the winner Title - Jules Birthday Party I hear John Smith whispering "remember what I said guys, look nonchalant, then you grab her arms and I'll grab her legs" Joe : How many bumps Obergruppenfuhrer? Thanks for posting the pics and the links Adina But Bangkok series? I might need a reminder.......

But Bangkok series? I might need a reminder....... and and and and and...I meant this series. I guess Cedric Arnold was rummaging around in the drawer and found that Rufus photo and decided not to put it back. www.realfeatures.com/portfolio/photographs/portraits/ If you look at his 'Portraits', you'll see Willem Dafoe and Terry Gilliam photos, too. They also attended that film festival in Bangkok in 2006... ...The clever photographer approached them with his photoshoot invitation when they were in high spirits. Then the morning arrived, and the guys realized that although they travelled there to have fun, they have to work instead...This is the reason why Rufus is not happy in the portraits. Terry Gilliam might have tried to wrest the camera out of Arnold's hands to throw it into the dustbin. This is my theory. I used Google because of that film festival pic and the Rufus-Gilliam search gave me this bonus: Stella: So you started an artsy-fartsy thread? I have a violet scarf in a black and white photo! How cool is that?! linkThe photo was taken at the wrap party of 'The Legend of Zorro' - , I don't understand how Zorro could win any duel against this guy!!!! Ha! I salute your use of a time-honored governmental tactic, naming as a winner something that was not on the ballot! I can arrange anything. Do you want an invitation card to Jules's birthday party? It is great to read the posts. Yes, let's love the Rufus pictures. From every angle.

Adina you did it again. Yet more wonderful photo's! I should keep asking questions see what else you can turn up I remember this pic from the set. It's so nice I thought we should see it again.... (gosh it's BIG ) As a weird coincidence I spotted this pic of Helga Da Silva(not Rufus or Bangkok related). Spookily I was at Helga's Folly in Kandy earlier this year. I took a pic or 3. There were a couple of guys playing chess by candle light it was mesmerising

More fantastic photos! Thank you, Adina! You're amazing! And thank you for the GIANT Rufus, Nell! Mesmerizing. The picture of Helga is also cool. (But she is not allowed to join Adina's contest, even with that amazing had.) I can arrange anything. Do you want an invitation card to Jules's birthday party? Since you have such amazing powers, can you transport me back to the Bangkok film festival?
