China's Forgotten Emperor (Narration by Rufus)

Couldn't find anywhere to out this so here goes - I recorded a programme from BBC 4 a few nights ago and watched it the next day. I though - I know that voice and sure enough it was Rufus doing the narrative for a programme about the only female Chinese emperor Wu Zian. Apart from the dulcet tones I enjoyed to programme.

Well, the reviews are rather lemon-licking. (There are people who think Rufus's voice is not enough for happiness??!!)

Thanks for posting this, Corndolly! Excellent find! As you can see, I have created a new thread.

It was very interesting, and, as always, Rufus is just an excellent narrator/reader.

As Adina mentioned, the time to listen is limited (now down to about 22 days). I think most people in the UK can get it.

For those not in the UK, there are ways....

Thanks for the heads up Corndolly and for the link Adina. A very interesting documentary about the only female emperor China ever had.  It's always good to hear Rufus, particularly when he's talking girl power

I'm obviously biased - I'd happily listen to Rufus reading out the telephone directory - but this was an interesting programme, enhanced by our man's honey and burnt whisky tones.
You better hurry up though - today's the last day it's available on Channel 4.
