I managed to get down to see the play in preview and it certainly didn't disappoint! I'd read much about how hilarious it is and knew it was about 3 friends that fell out over a piece of "Art" but little else. Hilarious it was, but it was so much more. I found I identified with all the characters in turn and felt for them all at different times of the play. I sat there thinking, oh that's so much 1 of my friends and then - oh no actually that's me. A special mention must go to Yvan (Tim Key) and his 5 minute + rant, he seemingly effortlessly pulled off, somehow managing to go red in the face to order and following up by skulking in the background in the most hilarious fashion. Marc (Paul Ritter)so commanding I couldn't take my eyes off him, and of course my whole reason for being there Serge (our Rufus Sewell)with his usual stage presence running through every emotion, making you in turn feel angry with him, sorry for him and in turn either laughing at or with him. It was at times, tragic and heartrending and yes very, very funny. In short tremendous performances from all 3 cast members and a very entertaining play. The theatre was very busy and must have been virtually full, the audience laughed heartily throughout and everyone seemed to be having a really great time. Afterwards I managed to get all 3 cast autographs. Has to be a first. Tim Key and Paul Ritter came out first and very modestly thanked us all for going to see the play. Paul said they were still very nervous which I found incredible after what I'd just watched. Luckily we managed to have a chat with the lovely and ever charming Rufus, he was keen to hear what we thought of the play. I failed somewhat on the photo front. Having destroyed my camera I bought a new one last week, just in case. Like a complete twonk I left the battery in the re-charger at home. So I relied on a much more competent friend (hope those pics come out ok)and a phone camera which promptly went peculiar. So here's the non-flash selfie taken by Rufus
