Thanks for posting. A lovely picture. I met Rufus earlier this week and he was so nice. I was stunned when he got out of the car at the stagedoor. There was so much I wanted to say or ask but I was starstruck. But I was able to have a chat with him. It was one of the highlights of my trip to London.

Once again LTM, you capture Rufus perfectly. Great photo. Was at the Old Vic on the 25th January. Wonderful time again seeing this brilliant play. As everyone has said, it is funnier each time. They are all so enjoying themselves on stage and so enjoyable watching them all. Especially gorgeous Rufus. met at the stage door and asked Rufus to sign our last funny face photo. He was laughing, signed the photo and wrote something that made me . We decided to do another funny face photo.

Lovely photo LTM. The exposure is just right to bring out the detail in Roof's coat. From my last trip to the Old Vic - this time Art felt lighter and more playful to start with before building up the agro. For me it felt like a bigger contrast though Rufus said they played it the same, except for 1 added playful bit that's developed. There was a twist to the olive eating which added to the hilarity. Absolutely Fabulous job! A truly talented trio. And how the hell they remember all those lines I don't know...... It was lovely catching up with Rufus after the show too. Rufus made me laugh just as he was taking the pic.

A couple of months ago when we decided to go on a shopping trip to London ‘with the girls’, I tried to persuade my friends to come with me to see ‘Art’. Only one friend – who really likes theatre – wanted to go. So last Monday the two of us went to see the play. We had a good time, laughed a lot, wondered how Tim Key could spit out that long monologue without breathing (it seemed) . The throwing of the olive stones really cracked us up too . As we were sitting very close to the stage, we could see every facial expression very well. And from the beginning of the play, I was really fascinated by Rufus’ face. It was fun to watch his face changing with every different emotion. After the play, we hesitated a little to go to the stage door because it was pouring with rain (and very cold too), but we decided to take our chances. There were only 4 other people at the door (because of the very bad weather?). After a couple of minutes, Tim came out. He was very friendly, and signed my programme. My friend told him he was fantastic and his face lit up. Then something unexpected happened. Bill Nighy caught us by surprise by coming out the stage door but before we knew it, he was gone! My friend tried to catch his attention, but he didn’t return… And then we had to wait a little more to see Rufus coming out. As it still hadn’t stopped raining, and all of us were soaking wet, the autograph moment wasn’t very long and we couldn’t really have a talk with Rufus. He signed my programme booklet too, and my friend took a funny picture of me and Rufus - in the rain - in the yellow light of the stage door lamp. It’s a blurry picture, but we like it anyway. It was a pity we couldn’t stay longer and have a chat with Rufus. Hopefully in the future we will have another chance to meet him, because we both had butterflies in our stomach when we ran hopping to the tube. Finally, my apologies if my English is not 100% grammatically correct. I’m just a simple - Flemish - girl (those who have seen the play hopefully don’t compare us to a Flemish painting) and English is my second foreign language (after French). So once again sorry if some sentences are a bit weird.

Thanks for your review Nicci. There is nothing remotely weird about your sentences. Your English is perfect. Just 1 thing, was the painting Flemish?! I thought it was a scene in Caviar

Thanks Nell! No, the painting was not Flemish at all But it was mentioned twice that Marc had a view of Carcassonne that was 'pseudo Flemish', whatever that means... And I forgot to post our picture - we should have brought an umbrella Attachments:

Nicci, It's great you got to see the play and meet Rufus. Even with the rain you managed a cute picture.
