I loved this one so much I put it up on the webpages yesterday. I thought, anyone who has talked to Rufus will not fail to see themselves in these comments. Though I confess the cheekbone comment baffled me.
There was also a nice one about him never getting enough attention that I included because I think we all think that too.

Poor girl but I thought this was very funny: I'm going through a "completely worthless" phase at the mo, hence the haircut (feel terrible? Look GOOD! They should give me my own show). I feel old and ugly and smelly and boring and hopeless and humourless and no fun at all and horrible and as if there's nobody on the planet I'd actually expect to think anything of me or treat me nicely. Honestly, right now if Rufus Sewell walked up to me and said: "Yanno Chiller, I've worshipped you from afar for a long time and if I don't ask you out today I'm going to spend the rest of my life regretting every breath I suck into my pointless lungs." I'd probably say: "Dude. I'm crap. Go out with someone who's actually worth going out with, and who you're not going to wake up and think: 'what the hell am I doing with this?'"[1] [1] Actually I am not entirely stupid and have excellent reflexes so I would say "YES". But I would be feeling this the whole time, and would be braced for him to roll his eyes at the end of the date, say "well, cheerio then," and basically RUN. Probably vomiting as he did so. chiller.livejournal.com/

This blogger has it so right (he's going through oscar nominations): williamlee-v01.livejournal.com/149502.html"Best Actor in a Supporting Role
Alan Arkin - Little Miss Sunshine Djimon Hounsou - Blood Diamond Eddie Murphy - Dreamgirls Jackie Earle Haley - Little Children Mark Wahlberg - The Departed
Ah, Eddie Murphy, how many more chances are you gonna get for another comeback? Alan Arkin was great in Sunshine and he's always someone you can count on for a solid supporting performance (Glengarry GlenRoss, 13 Conversations About One Thing). Wahlberg kinda surprised me since there were many more likely candidates. No knock on the former Marky Mark though, he was great, even if his character was needlessly added to the remake. He or Murphy are more likely to win if Departed or Dreamgirls doesn't win in any other categories. WHO WILL WIN: Alan Arkin WHO SHOULD WIN: Mark Wahlberg OVERLOOKED NOMINEES: Jack Nicholson - The Departed, Michael Caine - Children of Men, Michael Sheen - The Queen, Ray Winstone - The Departed, Rufus Sewell - The Illusionist, Tobey Maguire - The Good German"

I don't blog, never would, but I find it very amusing what people will say in their blogs! And especially knowing that so many others can read it!!! The girl Uke mentions.......she just cracks me up! I think that is pretty close to how I would feel about meeting Ruf, but I just love the way she phrases it! Thanks all for sharing your finds in blogs around the internet!

Cute mention: The play was Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard, and I continue to be the only person of my aquaintance who likes Tom Stoppard. I think the play itself was probably pretty good, it had a weird and virtually un-understandable plotline as Stoppard plays tend to but also had fabulously written lines as Stoppard plays also tend to. I maintain that he can turn a phrase like almost no other and, thematic obsession with time travel and literary-in joking aside, is one of the best (certainly living) playwrights. The problem is, his writing requires a certain kind of actor to pull it off. I remember thinking that the Rufus Sewell-Stoppard pairing in Rock N Roll was a brilliant one because he delivered the lines with such perfection in the way I thought they were intended, and I imagine that when Rufus originated the role of Septimus in the National Theatre production it was absolutely fantastic. But I don't know that normal people or non-fantastic actors can pull it off.peasantrevolt.livejournal.com/161863.html
