compassrose.vox.com/library/posts/page/1/From the above blog: 35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Rufus Sewell. Until he destroyed my little celeb-crush by Botoxing his personality right off. Idiot.

That sounds totally mean. Meanie! I must say I have no botox-radar to speak of so I have no idea whether he had it

No way! Didn't he say in a fairly recent interview something like he welcomed getting older, because it meant it was more likely he would be accepted as a character actor? Which we know is what he'd prefer to be known as, rather than a pretty-boy leading man. Someone with that mindset isn't going to go the Botox route - it would be counterproductive! Methinks he welcomes the lines and wrinkles... (maybe this is the same person the other week on Rufus_Daily who was totally convinced his lovely curly hair's a wig?!)

I'm not seeing it. He doesn't strike me as the type to go that route...... I can't see him doing even the acid or laser route. The fact that he gave up the cigs will make a big difference in the lines in his face.
I have always thought he just had good jeans.... I mean genes.

I can't see that he looks different or that he's had any "work" done and smoking certainly will age him faster. (Did someone say he quit?)
But, now that he's with a much younger woman........maybe he did have it done and we're all so blinded by how gorgeous he is, we haven't noticed???
Nah, that can't be true! Michelle

Well, he doesn't have that look of permanent surprise that we have all come to associate with Botox. I can't see it myself....made me laugh though, as did the wig woman.

oh well some people see plastic surgery and fake hair under every shrubbery. as to the face thing, thin is not one of Rufus' best looks facially. I can understand what they think they see but I'd tend to agree that for a man who has been waiting years to become a character actor, having work done at the age of 39 seems highly unlikely. but there is the teeth. hum... Okay, okay, I promise no more teeth jokes... They're fine. The new ones look just fine. I just... Okay, I'm done now. I swear I am.

I don't know what that person is referring to - maybe we are all blind. I don't think of Rufus as BoTox-Boy - he wouldn't go there - he doesn't need to.
Maybe she is thinking of Joaquin Phoenix (ha, ha)!

I must be the slowest person on the planet - I only just realised that Joaquin is that cute little mixed-up boy formerly known as 'Leaf' from 'Parenthood'. He sure ain't a patch on Rufus.... thin, fat or middling. I bet he doesn't look as f*ckable in drag, either:)
