I really need to learn to keep my observations to myself. Oh no, no no!!! This has been very interesting! I just never noticed his teeth and now I will! It's things like this that make things fun and interesting! Don't ever stop, Maxx! Michelle

I often wonder how the poor bloke would feel if he knew we spent our days dissecting his every foible (that's assuming he doesn't already), although I guess we more than make up for it in heaping the praise. No matter, keep it coming folks, he's a man and he can take it! It's probably small beer after the inevitable casting rejections, in any case.

I don't want to pick people apart publicly no matter who they are. Sometimes we get on one of these little tangents and it disturbs me because they always seem to be about something physical which is completely irrelevant.
I'm a student of human nature. I watch people and try to guess what motivates them. But in this case I think I should keep my observations to myself. I adore Rufus. The last thing I want to do is trash him in any way on a public forum. Sometimes odd little things can be very hurtful.

I've been a fan for years and have had a Rufus website for a long time, as well as a private Rufus Yahoo group, and it has always been my policy to allow only positive comments to be posted in the website guestbook. That's why I don't post them until I review them. I understand that this forum is different, but keep in mind that if he wanted to he could read anything written here. That said, I don't think it's something he would ever do. I just figure that there are enough critics out there already. JMHO G xo

I just want to do a bit of back tracking because I may have come off a bit harshly and say that I'm not reprimanding anyone for anything that's been said here. My eck factor has a fairly low threshold and alarms start to go off for me long before most other people. However, just as a general rule of thumb, I try not to say anything about anyone on this forum, Rufus, or whomever that I wouldn't be willing to say to them in the flesh. Critiques of their work are another matter. That goes with the territory when you are an actor/director/writer. For an artist they can take what is of value and use it or throw it all away. It's only an opinion and as such is not personal. On the other hand, you go trolling for items about yourself on the internet and you'd better have a pretty thick hide. And that's my .02 for the day.

It's only an opinion and as such is not personal. Exactly! I've always felt the internet is a great place non-personal critiques of someones work. Of course, many times they move beyond that, but that doesn't mean they aren't okay if done properly.

I decided to modify my previous post since I did go on about his teeth to the extreme. I tend to forget that anyone can read these postings and that what is a non-sensitive subject for me may well feel like an insulting breach of privacy to the reader, or God forbid, Rufus should he ever happen to read my silly remarks. Just for the record, and I know most of you know this, I do adore Rufus to the point of irreversible emotional regression. (By that I mean I sound like a besotted 14 year old. Do I get any points for self-awareness?)

To lighten the tone a little, I think if Rufus were to read this, he'd laugh his gorgeous arse off and take it in the spirit in which it's intended, i.e. of overall admiration. He's proved many times over that he's capable of laughing at himself and he'd probably be pleased that we paid such close attention to his work, and by default, to him. If only we were all casting directors......

Ah, a lady after my own heart. Of course we would, Rugirl. And we'd make sure he worked very hard indeed for that part, wouldn't we? Just to make sure he really wanted it, you understand.

Ever so sorry that I've been missing in action lately. I will have a dig around my computer tonight and see if I can come up with some retro teeth shots. ;D
