This seems to be a blog, but I have no idea what context this is in. I don't "think" Rufus could sneak off and do an entire play without anyone realizing it or it being mentioned anywhere. Perhaps it's one of those fantasy things... The Reporter -- Rufus Sewell shines in this based-on-a-true-story tale of a foreign correspondent for the BBC who was gay and mysteriously committed suicide at a young age. The play suggests Sewell's character felt he "betrayed" a gay lover, but since (through no fault of the actor playing him) we never even like the lover and don't even know why they're together in the first place, that betrayal doesn't carry much weight. But it's nice to see Sewell onstage, who is coming to New York soon with Tom Stoppard's "Rock and Roll."if you're feeling apt to puzzle it out here is the link: www.advocateinsider.com/2007/06/letter_from_lon.html

I have to say that it flabbergasts me that someone can sit through a 2 hour show and not have a clue who they are watching on stage. There is one thing B'way has up on the West End, they give you a programme so at least you can look like you were paying attention even if you weren't.

Well, look at it from another angle - if the actor is really good, Rufus might get another Best Actor award!

Or Roof is so good on stage that the newspaper automatically thinks he's in every play. And surely the person could be a huge Roof fan and only had him on the brain. LOL.

Or the guy is a complete idiot and he's name dropping when he has no clue what he's talking about. Rufus is a person who does many varied roles but there isn't another actor working who is even the same type. My guess is people are just chronically unobservant. I don't know how you could possibly confuse him with anyone if he was actually in motion. As I'm sitting here typing this, I'm looking at your avatar lotuspad, thinking how much it doesn't look like him.

Talking about odd and resemblance. Last year I visited the National Portrait Gallery in London. Strolling through the Charles II room(s), I was struck by a portrait of the Family of Sir Robert Vyner. This is the link to the portrait: www.npg.org.uk/live/search/portrait.asp?mkey=mw08291The picture is a bit small, but in reality Robert Vynar has a striking resemblance with Rufus as the older Charles in part 4. I'm glad this is mostly due to a lot of make-up on Rufus' face and the wig : )

LOL.. Maxx..he does have a different look in that picture.
It's sloppy work in that blog or article whatever. Written by someone who can't be arsed to double check their own work. If I were the writer, I certainly would make sure I'm quoting or naming the right person, so I dont' look like a total arse!!!!
Well they just don't make people like they used to nowadays!!!
