I should too. I never have and I'd like to hear other people interpret the characters.

Please remind me, uke, where to access the radio play as I still haven't read it and will be seeing it in 25 days....one still assumes so.

Oh, , how did I miss that? Thanks for loading it Maxx. I'll have a listen when I get the chance. I've been listening to Stoppard's "Arcadia" and boy, that Tom is a witty writer. The guy reading the Septimus role is no slouch either.

Hmmm, yes, i quite like that Septimus bloke The guy (Daniel Evans) who plays Jan on the radio I'm not too crazy about (too whiney!) but that makes seeing Rufus in the part all the more enticing...

I finally listened to this and it was interesting. A pretty good job overall, but it loses quiet a lot without the visual element. I think the cast did a serviceable job overall. I quite liked the actress who played Eleanor and Esme. I didn't expect to but I did. Daniel Evans (have I got that right?) gave me an entirely different take on Jan than Rufus. In some places I found him more of a victim, in others less. Even when Max is pounding the crap our of Jan, Rufus never broke. He took it. This fellow seems to cave a bit under Max's pummelling and it's nothing compared to the one that Brian Cox gave. Rufus' Jan seemed to be made of more maliable stuff. He was at once more delicate and emotional, and yet more resiliant. Interesting....
