That's not bad! He/she actually managed to capture the look in his eyes.

On the blog, he/she says the eyes should be dark brown! I think they might mean for her "ficverse" that s/he's planning. (What is a "ficverse", anyway? I'm guessing "fiction"-something? Or is it just an illustrated poem? Dictionary.com is no help...)

I used to write fanfic for printed fanzines. Haven't done any online, but I think a ficverse is a series of stories based on, say, AKT, for example. Sometimes it's based on what happened in the film, but often it can be 'Alternate Universe'--something happened that made it different from the film (like, Jocelyn married Adhemar instead of William and...).

That drawing is fabulous. But as noted above-the blue irises? And you are right, the artist is mistaken, Rufus does not have dark brown eyes, although they can look that way in certain light. Ruf's eyes are a beautiful hazel--Green and brown with unique black flecks for character ;D. Talented as she is, I feel so very sorry for her. All she's seen him in is A Knights Tale?! A sadder thing I haven't seen.

I think a ficverse is a series of stories based on, say, AKT, for example. Oh, yeah, that makes sense - thanks, Pen. I used to do fanfiction with Starsky and Hutch (that ages me!) Oh, if anyone else used to like Paul Michael Glaser, he's appearing as Captain Hook in pantomime here in the UK (as is Henry Winkler, in a different production).
