For those of you in the UK, Play.com now has The Holiday on sale for £3.99, including delivery. It was a bit of a stinker, in my opinion of course, but at that price you can always fast forward past all the schmaltz and not feel too guilty.

lol! I loved Rufus in this role. He just didn't get what he was doing wrong. It was actually rather sweet and endearing as long as you didn't happen to be Iris or his fiance, whatever her name was...

LOL. That's one of the things I liked about Ruf in the movie too, was that at least you could see what it was in Jasper that had kept Iris so smitten with him all of those years. That was good casting of Rufus by Nancy Myers. Incidentally, I was just watching this movie a few days ago (I dragged out all my Holiday themed movies) and I know its a soppy, mushy, predictable RomCom, but I still really like it! I know, I'm a hopeless romantic. (*sigh*)

Santa has just bought me my Holiday dvd - well, if I left it to DH I could be waiting years, he doesnt have a clue, poor darling! I think Santa did quite well yesterday but he couldnt compare with L3.99 that is awesome!!!

I enjoyed the film even on 2nd viewing. Too bad there isn't a sequel with backstory on the Jasper-Iris relationship.

LOL a nice Jasper revelation sequel would be super. I lost count of the number of times I have seen it (and fast forwarded) because it was the only movie worth watching on the outward and return leg of my last trip home (ie 24 hours each way!!!!!)
