I've been a Rufus fan for a long time. Not sure why it took me so long to find my way to his fan communities. But I am glad I found this forum and am looking forward to meeting a lot of Rufus fans and share some Rufus Love!!!
Cheers!!

Thank you!!!
I love Rufus for all the same reasons as most of his fans. His fantastic talent and wonderful good looks. And from all I've seen and read, he's a very nice person and witty as well. A good sense of humor always makes a man more attractive!!! Heck, it makes anyone more attractive for that matter.
I do love most how he makes me want to smoke too!!! I tried smoking for a tiny while and still love the idea of it. Doesn't he just make smoking looked sexy??? Well he IS SEXY!!

Couldn't agree more. p.s.: I took up smoking in 2005 because of bad influence Rufus. I'm on like 4 cigarettes a month but still...

Like Rufus, I've given it up. Not good for the wrinkles. Or maybe I should say, great for the wrinkles. Not good for the non-wrinkles.

Has he given up smoking? If so, good for him. I don't mind wrinkles, it's the ciggie smell in the house and car and on the clothes. Yuck!

Thanks Ree!! I smoked for about a year and quit when I decided I don't want to do it anymore. That was about 16 years ago. I think about smoking more often than I like and have indulged myself with a wonderful ciggie on rare special occasions. When I get stressed out at work, I would think about going to pick up a pack of ciggies. But by the time I get off work, my urge would be gone and sometimes when I stand in front of the ciggie counter, I would totally change my mind and talked myself out of it. Sometimes, I just stand next to my friend who smokes and inhale. LOL. Seriously. She can't quit smoking to save her life but she would kill me if she saw me light one up. It's a hard habit to kick but I've been lucky in ridding it.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I know I will have a grand time in here!!!
What is my absolute favorite Rufus role? Hmm.... I don't and can't have an absolute favorite yet because I still have a few of his movies to see before I can pick an absolute.
But I absolutely adore him in Dangerous Beauty. That's when I first noticed him. I didn't follow his career back then but did see his work in some of the more popular movies shown in the US such as A Knight's Tale and The Very Thought of You . A couple of months ago, I rented the Illusionist because Ed Norton is one of my fav. actors. I didn't know Rufus was in it. Shameful, I know. But when I saw him, he got me for good this time. I looked him up in imdb to see what movies he's done that I can get my hands on in the video store. I rented Tristan+Isolde. Oh I fell so in love with him after watching that. Since then, I watched any movies of his that I can get my hands on. I still have a few more to go. I recently purchased Dangerous Beauty and In Savage Land. I think I have seen ISL a long time ago. I'm looking forward to getting it in a couple of days to revisit it.
I enjoyed him quite a bit in the Holiday. I just wish that he had a bigger role in it. Right now, without the privilege of seeing some of his work that are not available in the US, I'll have to say his role as Marco (Dangerous Beauty) and Marke (T+I) are my favorites for now. But that subject to change when I get thru his other movies.
I would love to see his play Rock and Roll. I'm sure he's brilliant in it. And seeing his clip of TOTS, I know I will love it when the dvd comes to the US in July. I have a feeling that might become my new favorite of his. It is because I love comedy. And more importantly, it would be nice to see him not carrying swords and riding horses for a change. I truly love to see Rufus in more contemporary roles in modern times. He has so much talent and has so much range as an actor. I know he probably can play just about anything and anyone. He's a real gem!!! Unfortunately, hollywood can be too much about box office numbers that they miss out on true talents. But I am hopeful that Rufus will get "DA" role and get the recognition he deserves here in the US.
So here's my long about way to answer your question, aren't you glad you asked? LOL.
