What would it be? (BESIDES "will you marry me?" )

It would be "Did you hang around any of my local haunts around the early eighties?". I can't believe I grew up at the same time and in the same place as Rufus without our paths ever crossing. However, I wasn't into chubby kids with curly ginger hair, although I was (and am) massively into Bowie. Now if he'd been a year or two older and had his own Cortina we'd have been in business! How shallow can you be

I'd like to ask how his agent pitched "Nick Silver Can't Sleep" to him - was it "Well, Rufus...you get to play a plant...."?
And I'd also ask if he'll be reading some more Dr Syn adventures next Christmas, if asked.
Okay, I know that's two questions - but I'd ask them together! ;D

I'd ask him what music he's been listening to lately.

well, among many other indecent Qs i'd ask him: " Rufus, you've been to Prague many times and you said you liked the place..why not visit Poland now? you may like the country even more than czechs-beer is even cheaper, people more friendly and there is also a new big film centre to be built within a few years..come and see it yourself! ..or rather -convince you agent to send you there !"

I would ask him if he likes to do the audio books; how can he remember the voices for one with as many characters as Joseph Andrews (which is 11 hours, I believe) and is one of the attractions that he can portray all the characters as he choose's?
Actually, I wanted to submit this to his live radio q&a but I thought all the questions had to be Rock n Roll related.

his GROOMER? ? haha-thx for the link to another thread-now i know what you meant ,uke! i also think Roof used this expression maliciously = he realises media will copy that and we will interpret the word in all possible contexts ...but on the other hand if horses have their groomers to take care of the manes why not our stallion ? ;D

I'd probably ask him what it felt like to wear fishnet stockings and high heeled boots (from TOTS in Shakespeare retold) I thought he looked smashing, esp the purple eyeshadow, it brought out the geen eyes. Fabulous!! LOL.

I'd probably be very boring and ask him how he learns his lines (I can barely remember my name most days, let alone a book full of very complex prose)

That's a good one, Maxx. I would definitely want to know that. And also ask who he hasn't worked with professionally that he would like to (and feeling rather bold, who he has worked with that he NEVER wants to work with again - but he's such a gentleman, I'm sure he wouldn't answer)....
