I'm new at all this so I just realized what everyone's talking about when they talk about regions for the DVDs. I recently ordered Shakespeare Retold DVD from Amazon.co.uk and received it yesterday--today's a nice snowy day in New York, and a great day off to watch Rufus, and it won't play in my DVD player. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! There doesn't seem to be any specific region mentioned on the DVD cover itself. I just assumed I could play it. Unfortunately, I'll have to return it, which stinks!! Is there another format I can purchase online, can anyone help?

Terry, When I first got TTOTS I didn't have an all region player either. GE2 suggested I play it on my computer & it worked just fine. I hope you have a DVD drive on yours too. I was warned though, by Pattirose I think, that usually you can only play a different region item on your computer a certain number of times before a pop up msg. asks you to choose a permanent region for your computer. Instead of converting my old DVD player I decided to buy my all region player from amazon, but you can get them from many different sites. I only wish I had ordered an all region VHS/DVD player cause now I've found two older Rufus tapes that are Pal and won't play on an NTSC VHS player like most of us have in North Am. You can buy a pal converter for it but they seem to be overpriced. Hope this helped to give you more options.

Ree, Thanks for your help. This was the first time I ordered a DVD from the UK, and I was totally clueless about not being able to play it. I'll try watching it on my computer for now. Thanks again!

I checked for a hack for both of those dvd players and couldn't find anything, sorry. Here's a link for the website in case anyone else has this issue. www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

I couldn't find any codes for those models either. I was warned though, by Pattirose I think, that usually you can only play a different region item on your computer a certain number of times before a pop up msg. asks you to choose a permanent region for your computer. You can get around that by running this program: www.dvd43.com/I've used it for a year now, works great.

Super! Glad to hear it! Not too often you get to see a man looking that Hott in drag (That's not really drag where I'm from though, not during Mardi Gras anyway)

Nah, he wouldnt rate a second look in Sydney at the G & L Mardi Gras either - not a feather or oiled pec in sight.
