! You guys are troopers. Not sure I would have lasted that long. Good news is your mission was accomplished! Hubby spent a lot of time on hold trying to cancel a flight. Stay well everyone!

Hello everyone! Lockdown here too, today prolonged till Easter Monday: everything closed except shops for groceries, pharmacies etc. No going out except if necessary or for a walk (but only alone or with people of your household). Hubby´s working from home, elder daughter two days a week. Younger daughter will come back from her term in Canada early, and will have to quarantine for 14 days here. Wanted to go to London, but plays cancelled, no flights either. Hope to get my money back. Guess our summer holidays in Italy will not happen either. Stay safe everyone!

Yes, they are starting to do lockdowns in the U.S. also. We aren't there yet in my area but won't be surprised if we are in another week.
TGIF- its been a long and crazy week. Plus I haven't been sleeping well, most likely because of anxiety.

All places where people gather are closed here. We are trying to order take out so our favorite restaurants can stay open.
It has been a stressful week. Glad its my long weekend!
Going to venture out to the store today.

I stocked up yesterday as well. Rumor is that Virginia will put a shelter in place order out by the end of the week. I figure we're good for at least two weeks before we'd have to venture out. We've also been getting take-out. As much to support the local restaurants as to conserve our supplies.
Daughter and I are handling the isolation fairly well, but husband is getting antsy. No sports to distract him and he's running out of books. The problem is he's not a re-reader. I can happily read a book I've read many times before but he can't. He is going to have to change his ways!

We are social animals. It has been hard to stay away from family and friends. Sounds like this will go on for a while. My hubby is not much of a reader so he is bored.
I may go back to the store today and try to pick up some other items.

My family in PA are now under a shelter-in-place order for the next 15 days. I've been looking for new authors to try, very grateful for the Overdrive app on my iPad since the libraries are closed. Right now I'm reading Embrace the Grim Reaper by Judy Clemens. A mystery with some paranormal elements. A new to me author and so far it's pretty good.

I am reading one of my JD Robb books but have 2 others available when needed.
Ordered some birthday gifts online yesterday. Doubt we will have a big family party though. Hubby, MIL and SIL have a BD within weeks of each other in April.

Daughter very sad, she ordered some books from Amazon and they cancelled the order. Said they were only delivering "essential" products for now. Personally I think books are very essential!

WHAT? That is odd! I agree that books, movies or games ARE essential right now. So far I have not had any delays of my orders. Stay well all!

I totally agree Kygal. If anything books, movies, and games are so essential right now. People need things to distract them and keep them sane.
Weather here is drizzly and grey. March is definitely not going out like a lamb. Hard to believe that last Friday it was almost 90 degrees and now it's cold and damp.
Kygal, hope you and your family are staying safe and well.

Thank you. Mild here right now. Will be close to 80 today and tomorrow until cooler next week. The ever-changing spring weather. Lots of people out with their kids and dogs in the neighborhood. Cant imagine how they are keeping the kids entertained at home for so long without other options.
They are doing a bear hunt in my neighborhood. I have two stuffed bears in my windows. The kids go around and notice them like a scavenger hunt. Daughter and I have enjoyed it when we walk.

Yep, we had the sun out today and it was very mild. It's supposed to get near 80 here tomorrow also.
Your bear hunt sounds like fun. My neighborhood is very quiet, hardly ever see anyone out or about. I'm trying to go on two twenty minutes walks a day and I rarely see anyone.
