I hope the same for you Midoro. Merry Christmas.
My dog is driving me crazy. She knows which stocking and gifts are hers.

While Christmas Day was good, I woke up the next day with a fever and stuffy head. Not COVID but a nasty cold I had been fighting got the best of me. I have no energy, spent yesterday sleeping and today just lying around. I don’t even have the energy to read, which for me is totally unheard of. Hope to be back more or less to normal tomorrow.

I hope you feel better soon Rachel. Lots of nasty stuff going around. Seeing some covid spikes at the hospital.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. Any NYE plans?

My mum had surgery before Christmas and caught covid at the hospital which she hadn´t had in all the three years. She´s okay though atm, but we´re not allowed to visit. Thankfully we didn´t contract it from our visits before.
Otherwise several viruses go about. Hope you´ll feel better soon, Rachel!
Christmas was nice and quiet. No plans for NYE, but the girls will probably come on New Year´s Day to watch the Concert in Vienna´s Musikverein with the Philharmonic Orchestra on TV.

I hope your mother has a speedy recovery Midoro. A shame about her catching covid though. Hardest part is not being able to see her. We have started to let covid pts have family visitors. Glad you had a nice Christmas.
I hope everyone has a happy and healthy New Year!

So sorry to hear about your mother Midoro. Luckily I had nothing more than a very nasty cold. I’m finally over it, but it’s a shame it had to happen when I was on break, Spent NYE the way We normally do, at home. We were all in bed by 10:00 p.m. Apparently our neighbors shot off at midnight but I didn’t hear them. Going shopping today, my niece is getting married in March and I need a dress.

A day late but Happy New Year. Went to brunch yesterday at moms. I actually stayed up till midnight. Been a while since I have done that.
Hope you found a dress Rachel.

Yep, found a dress and as usual, it was one I wouldn’t have tried on if shopping by myself. Daughter picked it out, it’s garnet colored with a kind of floaty cape with a metallic gold design. Hides my middle! Sent a pic to my sister and she liked it as well.

Sounds lovely. It is funny how things you think you would never pick really look good on. Happy mid-week. Still trying to adjust to post holiday life again.

Sorry about your cold having happened on your break, Rachel. The dress sounds lovely, so enjoy the wedding!
Understand about getting back to "normal" being hard, Kygal. A holiday here tomorrow (Epiphany), so schools and university still closed, and some enjoy two weeks off. Retired hubby and I are at home anyway, but my tai chi and choir will start again soon.
My mum´s not positive anymore and may leave the hospital next Monday, after they´ve had another look at her surgery wound. I´m glad physio comes around and she also walks by her own.
Have a good rest of the week!

Yes, Midoro, very good news about your mom.
Well, work is more or less sorted out with all of our moves and students come back on Monday. It's going to be very hectic with people not know where to go.
