Spent a couple of evenings on the top of a local hill waiting for the sunset and the chance to see Comet McNaught. It actually appeared (fleetingly) before heading behind clouds tonight and quite spectacular it was too. Has anyone else had a chance to see it? It now has a huge great tail.

And is it visible up here in the states? Usually our local stations give us these details, what it is, when you can best see it............but I have to admit, I 've not heard a word about this one!

We haven't had any clear viewing weather all week. And it sounds like if we don't get to see it by this weekend it will be too late. Also, it's setting so soon after the sun that it's low on the horizon, and we have too many trees around here. I'll have to find a place to go to try and see it. So far today it's still heavily overcast. I may miss this one. I hear this one was discovered in your area, quoll.
