Well, I just booked a flight home to UK - in two weeks time! I decided on the spur of the moment to ask for leave from work, which was surprisingly approved so I just booked for the month of May in UK! I cant believe I just did that! My only gripe is that if I booked it yesterday I would have saved $100 but beggars cant be choosers. I am so excited It means that I will fly back with my son and get to deliver him to Sandhurst to begin his army officer training and I will get to spend time with my aged rellies and see a few friends into the bargain. Sad that there is no Roof on stage this year because last year that was the main reason for my trip home. LOL I just checked the inflight entertainment and I get to see The Holiday AND The Illusionist - guess who will have no trouble whiling away the 24 hour flight?!

Sandhurst? Your son is going to Sandhurst? Isn't that the most prestigious military school in the UK? . Pretty impressive. Congrats to him and you as his (I'm sure) proud mama!

I hope you have a very enjoyable trip, quoll. I had no idea it was as long as 24 hours for a flight between Aus. and UK! I just checked the inflight entertainment and I get to see The Holiday AND The Illusionist - guess who will have no trouble whiling away the 24 hour flight?! And the airline is having a Rufest! Are you sure you didn't choose this flight because of the in-flight movies??
