I did, Frannie. I think my admission of it is a few pages back. I published it under a false name (for several reasons), though.
Anyother...I'm pretty sure it can be downloaded to your computer and read that way, too. (not sure there will ever be a paper version, unless I print it out and send it to you...LOL). P.S. Happy belated birthday!!

Have I missed something here? Did you write this Rumantic ? my question precisely! wanted to congratulate you and wish you the best when i read this yesterday, but i have blundered so many times i decided to wait and see what new information popped up, lest I find I had misunderstood and this was actually someone else's work. how exciting for you. i'll go back and download it right away, now that i 'know' the author and her talent. i'm sure i'll be talking to you about it in the future. be blessed, anglophile wondering if anyone is as enthralled with rick bragg as i am. might not appeal much to you dear roofers outside the u.s.a., because the trilogy of books he has written - "all over but the shoutin'", "ada's man" and "the prince of frog town" have a strongly regional (read that southern) flavor, but the story line about family and strength and weakness are universal. he's a former ny times reporter and currently is teaching (i think at the university of alabama) and is a pulitzer prize winner. his way with words is magical. i could read him all day long.

Anglophile--thank you for your kind words. I hope that if you do read it, you are not disappointed! I welcome the chance to talk about what I have written, will write in the future, or things others have written that we both enjoy (or debate why not~!) And don't worry about 'blundering', I have had more than my share of that here, and nobody's kicked me out yet!!
I have not read Rick Bragg....but I am always looking for new authors to add to my favorites list! The next time I order books from amazon I will give him a look!

I'm currently reading "Venus in Copper" by Lindsey Davis, the 3rd instalment in her Marcus Didius Falco series about a private eye in ancient Rome. He's permanently broke (because his employer, the emperor, is a penny-pincher), he's in love with a headstrong woman far above his own social class, he lives in a dumpy little apartment and tends to get into trouble no matter what he does. The books are narrated in the first person from his point of view with an ironic self-deprecating humour and very funny. And at least to me, Falco is a little like Aurelio Zen in a tunic rumantic, I'd love to read your book - will see if I manage to download it to my computer as I don't own an e-book reader.

One more thing for anyone who reads Take-Out Sushi.....I apologize, I was going through my Hugh Jackman phase at the time I wrote it. Next time it'll be Rufus all the way!

Yay!! Thanks you guys for downloading my book. I really hope you like it.
@fran...Yes, you have a one track mind! LOL. When I wrote it, I hate to admit that I Rufus was not yet on my radar. The character of Alex was inspired by a real guy that I knew (not THAT way) who used to come into the store that I worked at. He used to model for Versace (what he was doing in backwater Indiana I couldn't tell you) but he was literally the most beautiful man I have ever seen with my own eyes. The other girls would get all tongue tied around him, but 1. he's married, 2. I was involved with someone, and 3. despite his beauty, I wasn't interested in him that way, I didn't have that problem and I talked with him all the time. I can't say that Alex's personality is based on Joel, but I tried to describe his looks the best I could. Glossy, floppy black hair (no curls), green eyes, olive skin, shocking white smile and perfect teeth, not to mention tall and lean....
Brett is also based on a real person (again, not someone I knew, ahem, that way)...as are Phillis, Laura, Kim, Linda and Connie (there's a story about why I decided to name the character Connie...)
I'm so excited to hear what you think! (unless you hate it, then not so much!)

Woo-hoo rumantic! I'll get a copy soon if I can get one more book past my hubby. I so need to get a kindle or a nook (seriously thinking about an iPad). I'm running out of space for books! If I like a book, I won't give it away. Unfortunately, I like too many books!
Best of luck to you!

Wichi...I am the same way. My office is overflowing with books right now, and I think I might have another box full in the basement....
I personally like real printed books, so I'm not itching to get an e-reader, but it's nice that you can put the kindle app on the computer and do e-books that way (and it's a free app, which is also nice). My husband knows giving me cr*p about buying more books is a no-win situation, so he doesn't bother....too bad he doesn't realize that about Rufus, too...LOL
