picked up the black leather jacket carefully, wondering if this was a bondage gadget...seemed OK..soft leather, nice weight...

have foreseen the speed with which he dashed to the stoor exit, once the cuffs were off..on the street, he continued the dash for a block just to be sure he'd given them the shake...

lower Manhattan and poke around there, maybe over to the Brooklyn Bridge , maybe a bite in Chinatown...something felt icy on his wrist...oops, the handcuff dangled off one wrist...this was going to be interesting...'he'd have to cup it in his hand..
