Hello Everyone!
So happy to find a Rufus Sewell message board! My name is Amy aka CinemaSista I am from Plano, Texas and I am 25 years old. I am married with two children and I also have two step children who are with us during the summers and certain holidays. I am an aspiring actress, and I work at the Hollywood video store (go figure huh? lol). Anyway I just wanted to give a wee intro and say a big hello to everyone! I just adore Rufus and his work, I look forward to gabbing with you gals about him and getting to know you all. ;D
Hugs, Amy

G'day Amy! So glad you decided to join us. Just hop right on in to the discussion! A lot of the girls are all set (or have been) to see Rock 'n' Roll in NY so there is a lot of RnR discussion. There will be even more if the stage hands actually return to work too!!! Do tell us about your acting - we make a good cheer squad!!!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! For starters there is a lot I haven't seen lol, yawl are all way ahead of me! =) I am trying to track down everything I can find for Rufus , trust me I have been searching the store that I work at hehe, hopefully there won't be to many I can't find. Ooo Rufus on stage, whoever is close enough to see that is lucky, can't wait to hear about it! So far the only movies of Rufus's that I have seen so far are.. Tristan and Isolde, Dangerous Beauty, The Holiday, She Creature, The Taming of the Shrew, Amazing Grace, Paris Je T'aime, The Illusionist, The Legend of Zorro, Bless the Child, Cold Comfort Farm, (and a Knights Tale, but that was long before I knew of Rufus, and I haven't seen it in so long I need to rewatch it, because I can hardly remember it lol). Anywho, not a bad start at all, but I know you ladies can beat me! lol! I will do my best to catch up! .....
As for my favorite Rufus role so far.. oh goodness I would have to say Petruchio! I loved the original taming of the Shrew, and that is my favorite Shakespeare story, Petruchio is like a dream man lol, I don't know why I like those cute dominating fellows, but Rufus was perfect for it! =)..
As for my acting, wheew, it's been hard for me to finally be able to focus on it for starting the family and work and lots of other excuses I found, but finally I am going to be able to start following it stronger I am proud to say, I have waited 15 years for this, it's what I want to do till I die, so I am working on filling in a resume right now with what I can to help me out and I plan to also start taking coaching lessons with a coach around here, as I think I could really use the guidance and so much more, it will be good for the resume as well and hopefully she will be able to build my self confidence up and point me in the right direction instead of Craigs List lol! I would just prefer to find auditions through a safer and reliable source instead of continuing to try to wing it on my own. She is Morgan Fairchild's sister, so hoping to start those classes soon, and get in some more short festival films to be a part of too if I can, and more film work of any kind too. ...
Wheew I rambled, didn't I! Okie, I am done for the minute then lmao! So nice to meet you all!
Hugs, Amy

Welcome, Amy. You will enjoy this group. This is one of the most well-educated, supportive, and fun groups anywhere (and I'm not just saying that because I am part of the group - well, maybe just a little!).
Good luck with the acting and bravo for sticking with it. I should have done that myself many moons ago, and now could kick myself for not having done it...............

Welcome, Cinemasista! You have excellent taste in actors. I think it's great that you are pursuing your dream...don't give up. And good luck seeing all the Rufus films...it takes time to see them all, especially if you're just getting started, like me. A labor of love, for sure.

Hello and welcome from me too, Cinemasista. You have seen very many of his movies for a newbie!! Good going. I just might mention that one of my top two favorite Ruf Flicks is probably The Last King--The Power and the Passion of Charles II. In my personal opinion, it is his tour de force performance, and not to be missed. FYI-There is an English version of it called Charles II: The Power and the Passion, that is one hour longer than the "American" version.
