Close second: The touching by-the-tree kiss in Woodlanders.
These are off the top of my head--I'll have to do a kiss review, too! Wouldn't we all like to be nailed with his kiss? Like in the car scene of TOTS where he just eats her up? Silly question.

Well I like anything that involves a little lust and heat so my favorite is the one from Charles when he's trying to get Castlemaine into bed that someone listed over on the other thread. Rufus' screen kisses are always so tender we rarely see that side of him. I think it all goes with the grit-factor I'm just searching for in general from him and hoping to see a bit of in Vinyan. I think if we ever saw that side of him I might be convinced to work up a little squee every now and again.  Can't be all things to everyone. I'm happy to settle for the brilliance of his work. |

Huh. I can't think of any that knocked my socks off. I like my screen kisses a little more raw than the ones I've seen Ruf do so far. (See: Gerard Butler ;D) The only one that jumps to mind is the one in A Savage Land. Hmmmm .... must go back and do RESEARCH! LOL.

Middlemarch was pretty nice - I think there was only the one but it was worthy of note. IASL - definitely including the shirt removing  . Must review DC again - was there one just after he breaks the glass? My memory may be playing tricks, it's a long time since I saw that. The one in the lift in TOTS is also another to consider. Not in the passionate tongue down throat mode, but I like the little smooch before he offers to cook breakfast. I like the tender ones. |

oh yep, the DC one is quite qood. I'd forgotten that one.
I've always said (and in fact I say it in the synopsis of IASL on the website) that love scene is the only one I think I've ever actually seen Rufus do where he didn't look like he couldn't wait to get out of there. But the Beguine is still my favorite scene from that film even if the director did hack it to bits with the editing.
One of the most amusing things I find about Rufus' kissing scenes is he's always chasing his leading lady for one last little kiss. He does in several films. It's quite endearing and contributes to the "big dog thing" for me.
