Oh, great find, Tinker! Two of my favourite scenes were included - the biscuit scene and the "aiming for inertia" one. Ah, that brought back happy memories! Thanks so much!
(And, Maxx, you must have a way with opening pics, because I could only access them the size I posted - or maybe you have a sub to WireImage)

The biscuit scene was one of my faves, too, but I missed Anthony Calf from the London cast. Also dearly missed our London Ferda.
But nice to see all those clips again.
THANKS

you know Rufus. He'd be too shy. He's still playing hard to get and pretending it doesn't matter. This would make it almost sound as if he cares, Big American Tee Vee Star that he is. (poor rufus. he's probably going to rue the day he said yes to CBS)

A little interview on Playbill today: Rufus Sewell Arrives at Tony Season With a Trio of Awards in Tow
British stage and screen star Rufus Sewell had just arrived in New York May 13 to promote his upcoming television series "Eleventh Hour" when he "got an e-mail saying, 'Congratulations.'"
"I knew it was coming up at some point, but I'd been trying to put it out of my head," Sewell recently said about the announcement of the Tony nominations. The actor received his first Tony nomination for his work in the American premiere of Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll.
Sewell notes that at the time of the Tony nominations, he was the only actor whose production was not currently running on Broadway. "It's a different thing," he says. "A lot of time has passed. It's come at the same time in New York as some very . In London there were some extraordinary performances, [so] I was very lucky in London."
Call it luck or skill: For his work as the Czech rock fanatic Jan, Sewell earned the Olivier, Evening Standard and London Critics Circle Awards for the West End premiere of the Stoppard drama.
"I'm a lot more philosophical about it now," he muses on his Tony nomination. "Whenever they say 'the nomination is enough,' I sneer, 'Yeah right.'" However, the British actor is enjoying the moment, adding, "Actually, I kind of genuinely feel that at the moment."
Stoppard's dramatic debate on communism – Rock 'n' Roll –is punctuated with music that would make any rock enthusiast's list, including songs by John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Plastic People of the Universe, Velvet Underground, and the Grateful Dead. Sewell, who is also a musician and plays drums, notes that although his tastes aren't exactly in line with Stoppard's, he is very much "a fan of bands like the Velvet Underground."
Was there a musical selection missing in Rock 'n' Roll for Sewell? "David Bowie never got mentioned, and that was always a problem for me, because I was always a big Bowie fan and still am."

Some broadcast & internet info FYI. Rai As for the rest of the awards, let's see: Patrick Stewart seems likely to take home a statue for best actor in "Macbeth," though in my fantasies it goes to Rufus Sewell instead, for "Rock 'n' Roll." I'd also award Sinead Cusack best featured actress in that play, though Rondi Reed makes a hilariously vulgar turn as the aunt in "August." (And if "Boeing-Boeing" weren't even lighter than the air its dizzy stewardesses fly through, Mary McCormack would be a contender as the Teutonic Gretchen - to say nothing of Mark Rylance's brilliantly befuddled leading-man turn opposite an overmatched Bradley Whitford.) For musical actors, I like Paulo Szot in "South Pacific" and Boyd Gaines, whose featured work in "Gypsy" deepens and redefines the role of Herbie. Other than that, we'll just have to watch. And there's plenty to watch, starting as early as 1 p.m. if you're willing to go online. The American Theatre Wing, the nonprofit group that sponsors the Tonys along with the trade organization Broadway League, will present a marathon of Tony-related episodes of its "Working in the Theatre" show on CUNY.tv from 1 to 7. Meanwhile, at 4 on WBZ (CBS), Mario Lopez hosts a Tony preview concert, with assorted cast members performing songs from nominated shows. Red-carpet ogling begins at 6, online only at tonyawards.com; that's also the only place to see the early "creative arts awards." The live TV broadcast, from Radio City Music Hall, starts at 8. And by 11, Whoopi willing, we'll know just how wrong all our advance guesses can be. www.boston.com/ae/theater_arts/articles/2008/06/14/broadway_has_something_to_sing_about/?page=2
