just logged on as a new member and had a question. Was reading his bio and saw that he did a movie called "Twenty One" is it available for purchase in the U.S.? Also saw Mr. Sewell in R&R in NYC, in a word amazing!!! Had fourth row seats and when he's on stage he captures your attention, and steals the show. Fabulous talent.

Welcome to the gang, Peach! Glad you loved R&R - was that the first time you've seen Rufus? If so, there's plenty for you to catch up on! You're right, he does steal the show, and has the awards to prove it.
Enjoy!

Hi Peach. I agree..Rufus stole the show anytime he's in the scene, though Alice is quite winning in her ways. I saw Amazon.com had TwentyONe for $114USD! A VHS on ebay for 2$USD.Netflix didn't list it.

Welcome to our world, Peach, and you're so lucky to have seen Rufus in person. Many of us who have been on this site for a long time haven't had that good fortune. Hope you can make it back to the show again and get a picture taken with Rufus! And this is the greatest group of ladies anywhere on the net.......

Thank you ladies for responding. I am planning on seeing R&R again probably next month. I was in the city last week with my sister and our show let out about the same time that R&R was letting out, we decided to walk past the theatre and the crowd was just letting out, we figured let's wait and see if we could catch a glimpse of Mr Sewell. We waited and waited but then my sister said to look up at the window, the dressing rooms are on the street side and there he was, those cheekbones and that hair were unmistakable. That made my night. I first saw him in Zorro and thought, Catherine Zeta Jones made the wrong choice. Have been a fan ever since. I read somewhere in his bio that he did a radio play called "Twisted" I think it was for the BBC, has anyone heard of it and if so is it available for downloading? I love the site, especially the clips of the month. You ladies are the best.

Hi peach, you are very lucky to have been on the fourth row, Im english and didn't know about R & R when it was in London so have missed out.
Twenty one is worth getting, rufus isn't in it much, but his performance is incredible and he looks all eyes and cheekbones, his scottish accent is really good aswell.

I am a rookie member, sorry don't even know how to start a new thread so have hijacked peaches I am English and am older than Rufus, so to me he's a toy boy. I first noticed rufus when he was in Dark City when it first came out, Im always glad when he is a a film I watch but the moment of realisation came when I watched Taming of the Shrew a few weeks ago, I had got the DVD for James McAvoy in Macbeth, but when I watched TOTS I was completely hooked on rufus. The moment was when they were on honeymoon and rufus was laid on the setee in front of the fire and said to Kate "sit on me" I have been in lust ever since.
I have virtually bought all his films already and was over the moon when I realised that in Charles II it lasts for 4 hours and he is in virtualy every scene - that was a great bonus.
Its great to read everyone's comments and I am so jealous that some of you have met him in person.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to the board

Hi there Chuckles!!! I am sure Peach wont mind a tiny hijack! There are several of us for whom he is a toy boy and I know just what you mean about the lustiness of that TOTS scene!!!
No doubt you will want to start lots of threads especially when you find out information before the rest of us (we need to make good use of our relative time zones!) when you are in the list of messages in a forum, see the blue line at the top of the message list? On the right hand side in that blue line you have the option to mark as read, start new thread or start a poll. You will soon get the hang of it!

Hi, Chuckles - welcome! Great to have another English lady here!
Charles II is what hooked me, but that scene in TOTS is one of my favourites. Boy, have you got some goodies to catch up on! Don't forget to visit our sister site www. roofsewell.com where you'll find video and audio clips, photos, screen-caps and lots more!

Hi Chuckles. Oddly, it was Amazing Grace that reeled me in...the most watchable character in it was Rufus, of course. THat scene in TOTS is fantastic, alright. You have to see Dangerous Beauty/Honest Courtesan ...lots of great scenes in that , as well.

Hi Chuckles, good to have another Brit on board, as GE2 said. Having said that, we're a very friendly, cosmopolitan lot and enjoy nothing better than a bit of lively and humourous debate. This is what drew me to the site, in my view setting it far apart from the usual, obsequious fan site which most of us will avoid like rabid wildlife. Interesting what you said about TOTS, as I think this was the turning point for many of us who maybe already liked Rufus, but from further afar. Petruchio seems to have prompted many a woman to fall in love and lust, and he's definitely my favourite Rufus incarnation, closely followed by Charlie the Merry Monarch. Anyway, a big welcome to you and I do hope you enjoy the site as much as we do
