I recently saw three (count 'em ) three movies, Illuminata, The Illusionist and In a Savage Land. Aside from three vastly different story lines there is one thing that I noticed. Aside from his striking good looks, he always manages to do sonething with his hands; either while he is speaking or in the backgound. He forces you to pay attention to him while not stealing the scene. He is quite extraordinary. And never dull to look at. He's so natural that you never quite catch him acting. Amazing all around very talented performer.

Peach...So true. He is exceptional as an actor. I first noticed him in Tristan & Isolde and that is when I did an online search and found this site. I had not seen any of his other films (now I have seen everything I can get my hands on here in the USA). I remember my mom telling me how good The Illusionist was and I should see it. After finding out Rufus was in it, I rented it and was amazed at how different the characters were. I then saw The Holiday and was discussing these movies with my mom who was flabbergasted to learn that Rufus was Marke, Leopold and Jasper Bloom respectively. She could not believe they were the same actor. Now that I have seen so many of his films, I am in awe of his talent and I discuss his work with anyone who will listen, family and friends. I hope I may enjoy his work for many years to come. Of course I am looking forward to Eleventh Hour, but even if that series doesn't catch on, I am sure Rufus will not be without a project for long. He is just too good for that to happen. Just some of my thoughts...Pitzel

Pitzel, I just saw the Ilusionist on Friday, as Leopold he looks and sounds so different too! So menacing. I really noticed it while watching Dark City, my mom thinks he is an amazing talent as does my sister. I can't say that I've ever seen him give a bad performance. I saw not at one sitting but a few days apart (have many of his films on DVD), Illuminata, Uncorked and In a Savage Land all done pretty much around the same time and he's completely different in each one. I understand that he's acting but he just does it differently than most, he's better and a natural at it. I hope E.H. does well too, I'm looking forward to it. I'm waiting for People mag to name him most beautiful (LOL) and for him to grace it's cover. Then everyone will know what we've known all along.

Hey Peach... Are you really ready to share him with all those people who as of now don't know he exists. You now the American media can be unrelenting once they set on someone...I just hope he can be successful and still be able to maintain some privacy. I just hope "Hollywood" doesn't change him since he is such a nice guy.

I was leafing thru People mag, (ok I admit I do read this trash, it's fun) anyway, there was a special section of upcoming Fall Television Shows on each network, seeing several CBS shows I was hoping to at least catch a glimpse. Nary a pic or publicity shot. Perhaps next week's issue. He really doesn't seem the type to fall into all of that Hollywood stereotypical behavior. but when the press latches on to something or someone it's hard for them to let go. He seems pretty well grounded so I am sure he'll take it all in stride. Can't wait for the premiere.

Peach, I never read People or any other mag for that matter. I am a book lover and spend most of my time reading novels or watching TV/DVDs. Please let us know if you find any pics of Rufus in the upcoming issues. I will have to brake down and buy a magazine. THE HORROR! (just kidding) Rufus is worth it! Thanks

I will continue to look. People is the only "rag" that I read, and have been looking for any pics or mentions but nothing. Will keep you posted. I too love to read books and mostly watch dvd's as there is so much on tv that I detest, except of course this coming October. I'll most assuredly make time for this.
