"without knowing what the scene is about" - well, Rueful, you are good at reading Rufus's face!! When you will be able to watch the movie, you will see how close you were to the original thing! (To the feeling, not to the topic, of course! ) This is not a cap-it, but my audio-response can be a possible explanation for that searching. youtu.be/KtFwClt7PuUOr not.

Absolutely. I did like the movie ending better than the book ending, though. Grace had a bit more sense in the movie (if way too late).

Does GE2 mean that I will die of embarrassment? I thought that after the great humiliation Count Adhemar would go to sulk off-screen. I understand that he can't get a "riding into the sunset" sort of classic ending, because William wins his horse, but he can walk, can't he?William: Let me quote a great classic, Count Adhemar, "accidents happen". And even your fangirls wouldn't break into tears, they might give a shrug, "well, he was a baddie".Adhemar: Hah, where are you Thomas Hardy? Sir Ulrich's herald is Geoffrey Chaucer, if there was fair play, I would deserve a Thomas Hardy to be my herald. (Woman in the background: Awwwwww, what a cutie.)Ah, please, someone should tell Adhemar he can survive the movie!!! Hey, you, fangirl over there, don't you see that Adhemar needs an extra "I love you", call out to him! ((I just love that smile in the last picture. An extra has to cheer for William, but she can smile at Rufus between takes. I like this pic very much. ))

Curiously, I realized that the woman was smiling at him even before I read the last caption! That lady is definitely in love with the black knight.

This lady has been in love with the Black Knight for the longest time. Forget that wimpy boy William.
