Love all the latest additions  (and Rufus absolutely should have had a role in one of the HP movies!)  Wonder which one he'd have chosen if he'd had the pick. (He would have done a pitch-perfect Snape but that's the typecasting trap again ...) |

Love it, ladies!!!!!  I agree with Kate, the first thing that would come to mind is Snape, but (even though I loved David Thewlis in the role) I think he would've made a FANTASTIC Professor Remus Lupin. |

Some people online tend to use him for Regulus Black (Sirius's brother) but he's too old for that now, seeing as Regulus died when he was 18. I've seen a video using clips from Middlemarch for him, though.

When I first read HP, I always saw Sirius as looking like Rufus.

Given the choice, he probably would have picked something totally unexpected, like Hagrid. (Mmmmm, 8 ft tall bearded Rufus  ) If the producers had ever thought about it though, I'll bet they would have thought of him for Lucius Malfoy or some other death eater type. |

I know he'd have been another bad guy but I would have loved Rufus as Lucius Malfoy - very smooth and stylish!  |

My daughter jokes her childhood is now over since HP has ended. 10 years of HP, I guess she has grown up some. I do think Rufus would want to be a character we would not expect. Would have loved it if he had a major role in HP. Snape is who I thought of as well.

If he was much younger, he'd have been a good ... Harry himself! Dark hair that's permanently sticking up, captivating green eyes ... I actually cried at the end of the last book. It felt like leaving a bunch of old friends behind. |
