Hi, all. I'm a lurker, but I've been really enjoying this site, the really great post, and of course the beautiful Rufus for a while. I've been looking at the preview photos for tonight's episode and really look forward to it tonight. I saw in my newspaper that the start of the episode is to be delayed tonight by 15 minutes by a presidential news conference. (Like we care when we could be watching Rufus!) I just was so distraught to think of all those tivo and vcr users possibly missing the last 15 minutes that I had to join the site just to tell you. Anyway, check your local newspaper or whatever!

i just hope they will not have us "join the program already in progress" like they sometimes do!

Supposedly they're showing the whole thing, because the conference is actually going to delay the start of CSI, too, and of course they're going to show that whole ep.
Anyway, although I've been a devoted (addicted?) internet user since 1995, I have NEVER joined any site or made a single post on any board before today. So that will tell you how very much I was worried about all of you and what an absolute Rufus nut I have become. I need help!

i hear ya, sistah! i never before last december was involved in any kind of fan club. but i am glad i joined here, people are as crazy as me, or almost, and lots of fun. there was just not enough info about the rufus out there, it got me frustrated. so i went after the info... and now its costing me a fortune in dvd's !!

People do seem very very nice, and I am terribly grateful for all the images and (via roofsewell.com) media that are posted.
My main worry is that I work from home, via computer, and I waste way, way too much time playing around as it is. I cannot even imagine what will happen if I start posting too.
I haven't really been purchasing* for two reasons:
1. My husband loves to tease me about many topics (still, after 20 years, so it's kind of sweet) and I don't want to give him more ammunition.
2. My teenage daughter thinks I'm weird enough as it is.
*I'm very tricky, however, so for Christmas I asked for Cold Comfort Farm, telling them it was a novel I'd enjoyed and always wondered how the film version turned out.
So I'm really looking forward to tonight's ep, and hope it turns out better than most of the previous one.

Rueful - love the name - Welcome. I know what you mean about the husbandly teasing (I took my DH to the movies to see AG - he eventually twigged towards the end and made some comment about "that bloke looks a bit like the bloke whose movies you are always watching". I just thought he would appreciate the whole history of the abolition thingie!!)
Anyway, good to know that there is another episode. I just wonder how soon mininova can get its EH act into gear!

Thanks for the very warm welcome, everybody. I'm glad you like the name. It seemed to fit, because as I was signing up I felt a bit like I was standing at my first R.A. meeting, announcing "My name is rueful and I'm a Roofaholic," and yet, being full of admiration for all things Ru isn't so bad, is it?
GE2, I'm very sorry I'm low-tech here and can't help share any video. I still use a vcr and am writing to you from only the 2nd computer I've had in 14 years. (Although to tell the truth, 11th Hour is not that good a show, and I'm watching it for one reason and one reason only.) I hope others are more helpful.
quoll, I hope your DH appreciates your looking out for his educational well-being as much as he would your feeding him a healthy diet to look out for his body. We must take care of our loved ones!

I set my vcr an hour past the stop time just in case the story about the plane crash in NY changed the start time of the show. I'm glad I did!
